  1. I would have thought there is much less corruption in football these days. Its a shiny glossy multi billion industry with greater scrutiny but plenty of space at the trough. Brown bags in lay-bys are a thing of the past...and that would have been rife. Honest small time graft back in the day I suppose. Kept quiet. Now the signing on fees and agents fees and kick backs are legitimised and out in the open it has a sourer taste.
  2. I'll always put the volume on an odd number just to drive my Mrs potty. She's an even volume/symmetry freak too. Wouldn't worry about it, unless it's making life tough
  3. That would make a good T-shirt
  4. The irony being that having agreed that wouldn't be the case, they did do exactly that after the recording sessions with Albini were over. Canny interview with Novoselic and Grohl on NPR recently that touched on that "conflict". Listen or read here.... http://www.npr.org/blogs/allsongs/2013/09/09/220657501/dave-grohl-and-krist-novoselic-share-memories-unreleased-tracks-from-in-utero
  5. Cheers, can get in now. Was temporarily being told I was banned and must be a kid from singapore with poor football knowledge. Must have been a problem at my end
  6. Cheers. Don't want it revoked or owt. Just interested to know. May have been a particularly offensive stat that did for me.
  7. Nit sure. But think I've been banned from NO. Not sure what for. If anyone that posts there can tell me I'd love to know. Was it suggesting we could finish above Swansea?
  8. That's what I'd attribute it to like. Think Cisse's lack of goals stems from the quality of chances created as much as his own dry patch. He was never gonna keep scoring goals like he did at Chelsea.
  9. Not really a comparable trend. Slight growth.
  10. What do you think the graph I have put up there is supposed to prove?
  11. This graph is the trend in shot accuracy (shots on target/total shots) at NUFC over the last 24 games based on a 5 game average. So the average accuracy for this season (5 games) is marked by the Hull marker at the end, which is 23%. This graph shows the change since the transfer window closed in January.
  12. Have people seen the teams we've put out in the cups in recent years? It can't come as a surprise they aren't the priority?
  13. Be fair. Nobody else was after Remy too, and they might have got him, if Kinnear hadn't stayed sober for one afternoon. It was a lot of effort.
  14. That's the only bit that came as news to me. It's still very unclear though. Doesn't sound like the £111m loan will now become a £129m loan which would have been the preferred approach for fans. There's no clue as to how long the £18m repayment will be deferred for. Has he used it for the January spending this year and want it back in full next year? Will he be taking £6m a year for 3 years instead of all in one fell swoop? These are the only important questions to me because as long as we're paying him back, the cost of relegation is still inhibiting our spending power. Ashley's mistakes from 08/09 are still costing the club in terms of forward momentum 5 years down the line.
  15. I would have used the stat that said we had consistently been leaking goals in game after game... But there isn't one. The harshest thing you can say is we've conceded 1.6 goals per game now. Which isn't good enough. But we conceded 1.8 goals a game last year so it's an improvement, however small.
  16. Professionalism? Physically beating your assistant manager? Criticising every individual error publicly? The man was a disgrace. As predicted.
  17. Conceded 1 goal in 4 games before Saturday. Couple of individual errors and a world class finish from outside the box and we need a whole new system again? Righty O.
  18. I think your record is about 50-50. Basically random.
  19. they've promised a closed ending. Nowt like Sopranos.
