Missed that. I was just about to say... Renton - in love with Chez. Jealous tbh and who wouldn't be. Fwiw HF you're probably my favourite poster on here at the moment. Aww, shucks I think It's Stevie that's jealous though, he sho thinks Chez is purdy.

Leazes is a mentally impaired gentelman who cannot comprehend that anyone else enjoyed the decade and a bit from 1992 at the club. He's certain he was the only one and has made it his life mission to remind people how good those times were. As the world passes him by he sits in his chair with drool steadily pooling on the lapel of his cardigan, quietly whispering to himself "Shepherd......Fifth best club.....support the manager.....ambition.....". Only a cup run can save him now.

As a newbie I thought Alex was a right bell-end like. I bet I'm not the only one either. If you haven't lurked very long you have to learn to appreciate his piss taking, then you can appreciate what a chilled out entertainer he is. Like a young Don Rickles. Board MVP.

Look down? Moi? You're the arrogant one.

I listen to Gwen Stefani or the people in checky shirts do? Tuco Ramirez - Doesn't suffer WUMs well. Has a tendency to get 'emotional' in response. Heart on his sleeve sort. Reminds me of my older brother's mate who I went to my first game with and I still sit next to - in that he hates the guts of anyone not die-hard Toon through and through.

Parky - A canny lad on the whole. Likes to pass himself off as an enigma wrapped in a riddle. An artistic elitist who claims to buy into idiotic, unfounded scientific and political conspiracy theories. Whenever he's in too deep he's always happy to end the argument with a vague slice of nonsense and a wink. Which is to his credit. Nice little character he's created.

I thought it was memorable. I got a B a C and a D in my A-levels too. Like people have said, it doesn't actually make any difference in the real world. Might help you get your foot on a higher rung of the ladder to begin with, but in the workplace you can climb those rungs in no-time with the right attitude...as long as you can at least get your foot on the bottom step. If you're not happy, take it as a kick in the arse to work harde in whatever you do next rather than talking shite on here

Aye, mine too. Like a shit 'This is your Life'. Should start a "scan and post your personal statement" thread! That would be class like. I'll hunt mine out this weekend if it happens.

I'm offering a Kings of Leon CD... Brand New. Got a bit over-excited in the HMV clearance sale and bought stuff i've already got. I'll consider any other CD for swap.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-11012369 "Why don't you just make an A as strong as an A* and just have A be the top grade?" "A* is one louder!" No point in repeating debates of years gone by but this grade inflation doesn't do anyone any good. Going to be a horrendous year for students of all ages this year (and for the forseeable). Until the late 80's the amount of students getting A's was consistently 8%. 8% now get A* so nothing's inflated in reality....unless you're as daft as Nigel Tufnel. Am I missing something here? An A* is now an A, a B is now an A, etc. At Uni a 1st is really what a 2:1 once was (with nothing to higher to differentiate truely outstanding candidates). Is that not grade inflation? I'm saying it doesn't fool anyone. Whether it's an A, an A* or a pjfdy. It's just whatever they're currently calling the top grade innit......and 8% got the top grade for decades. It had gotten out of hand since they got rid of the bell curve, up to a quarter of students getting the top grade. So now they've reverted it back to 8%....Dunno why they don't just reintroduce the bell like.

Whatever the truth of that. It's just struck me that Man City value Milner as twice the player Ozil is. Incredible. Wasn't Ozil's price more a function of the fact that he only had 1 year left on his contract? That's more to do with the selling club innit? What they will accept when there's only one club interested. Man City are playing close to £30m for Miler when they could have conceivably gazzumped Madrid with a £20m offer for Ozil. Perhaps Ozil had indicated he'd turn down personal terms with any club other than Madrid so forced Bremen into accepting their offer.

I think we've tended get deals tied up and announced without any rumours (colo, guti etc.) or we've walked away as soon as a club/player starts a public bidding war (Beckford, Perch originally etc)
