Nuclear Scaremongering about Iran from Clinton
Happy Face replied to Happy Face's topic in General Chat
Why don't Israel? Why should Israel? Why should Iran? Because the UN says so, and it happens to be a really nutfilled regime, , You fall into the trap too easily grasshopper. Iran are NPT compliant. Israel are not. http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defe...ksEnabled=false I wouldn't be any less happy than i am to see Israel with it. They wouldn't use it if they had one... and they'd be unlikely to hand them over to anyone else to use.....less likely than Israel as this weeks news shows. Since Iran does not have a bomb in the first place and likely couldn’t have one for a decade or more even if it were trying, (which as far as US intelligence can tell, it isn’t.) I don't see why it's a question that needs answering. -
We were slagging off Kewell at work yesterday. We weren't even sure if he was in the squad until someone looked at the numbers and it looked like he'd had a bloody good season/qualifying campaign. More than a goal every other game. ....didn't manage 20 games like, which I suppose is your point.

Can any of the physicists tell me if it's harder to do a press up if you're taller? As a tall person I've always insisted it is, but I've always doubted my own rationality. If you do a pussy press up with your knee down it's a piece of piss, presumably because although the weight you're lifting is only slightly reduced, the fulcrum is much closer to the centre of mass. I suppose the shorter person's weight/arm length in proportion to height is greater so I can see it being just as difficult. But I need it confirmed, does Wacky need less force to a manage a press up than I do (assuming equal BMI)?

I've been doing some press ups recently cos my arms are like wet pipe cleaners. Can still only do about 15 in one go after a few weeks so I'll give this a go. Bet you I finish first Andrew.

Here are some revealing statistics from a recent report by the World Health Organization on the situation in Gaza: “In Gaza, Israel’s blockade is debilitating the healthcare system, limiting medical supplies and the training of medical personnel and preventing serious medical cases from travelling outside the Strip for specialized treatment.” “Israel’s 2008-2009 military operation damaged 15 of the Strip’s 27 hospitals and damaged or destroyed 43 of its 110 primary health care facilities, none of which have been repaired or rebuilt because of the construction materials ban.” “Some 15-20 percent of essential medicines are commonly out of stock and there are shortages of essential spare parts for many items of medical equipment . . . ” In Late 2008, nearly 1 in 5 Palestinians lived in “extreme poverty.” Over half lived below the poverty line. “In the second half of 2008, one third of West Bank households and 71 percent of Gaza households received food assistance, with food accounting for roughly half total household expenditures – making families highly vulnerable to food price fluctuations.” “In May 2008, 56 percent of Gazans and 25 percent of West Bank residents were deemed food insecure by the UN.” “Chronic malnutrition has risen in Gaza over the past few years to reach 10.2 percent.” [This is especially true among children in Gaza). "98 percent of industrial operations have been shut down since 2007 and there are acute shortages of fuel, cash, cooking gas and other basic supplies." This heartbreaking account of Gaza by US physicians doing volunteer medical work there underlines how inadequate the medical facilities are. "The ban on imports of building materials has prevented the rebuilding of some 6,400 homes destroyed or severely damaged by Israel’s military operation in Gaza in 2008-2009 " -

Those clips are frequently on the news. Here's a recent one... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8639223.stm If wars are bad and shit happens, can you give one example in this 'war' where the opposition killing someone was unfortunate collateral damage or where our side commited downright murder? If you still think the entire resistance (little r) consists of blood thirsty murderers while we're nothing more than fallible victims you've been grotesquely propagandised.

Cheers, I just copy and paste it from an empire online thread and delete the shit tbh Hope you enjoy it

"I don't want to see a single war millionaire created in the United States as a result of this world disaster" Roosevelt on WW2 "Our people risk their lives, friendly coalition folks risk their lives, and therefore the contracting is going to reflect that." Bush on Iraq

Shit happens? yep. Shit happens. Why don't you tell those friendly muslim plane hijackers etc to fuck off back home and put their own country in order instead of having a go at the west for trying to do it for them. Shamai Leibowitz isn't a very muslim name.

And Saddam definitley had WMD.... That's the point tbh. It's an incredible amount of civilian casualties in Iraq. At this rate the US will overtake Saddam. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I seriously wonder if even the US would take the same actions again now, if they knew what the consequences would have been, which like I have said, were very predictable to all apart from the right wing bigots. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats what we all said about S Vietnam......................... Give them another 30 years and they'll have forgotten all the lessons............. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=143735 Looks like they're going to manage it in less than half the time. -
Ministers to press ahead with plans to cut MP numbers

You think one person can effectively manage over 100,000 constituents? I think you need a compelling case to change the status quo, not just a pointless comparision with other countries or a RobW hunch. Whilst on that subject I noticed Bridget was getting a load of grief from one of her constituents on facebook because she'd never knocked on his door during the election campaign.... Was politely reminded that he was one of around 70,000 voters in her constituency! Lame excuse. It's a 6 week campaign. She'd only have to have knocked on 1667 houses a day. -

I was canny dismissive of Slipknot until I saw them live. Totally blew me away. Incredible energy and tight as fuck. Still haven't listened to a whole album after the first one like.
