He did very little during his time there to be fair.

On a serious note, this is exactly the sort of thing I could imagine Saltwater going for:
-
Has to be worth man marking him now, they're like a basketball team where a Jordan type can take a team of any level and win games themselves. I'm not the biggest fan of man marking by and large as it means you're overly concerned with the opposition and not thinking about your own play, but in this case, either kick him early or man mark him and they're about 50% down at least! I'm a bit reluctant to give Arsenal much credit for their recent form simply because they're ridiculously reliant on a single player. I can't see anyone filling his proverbial boots and doing anything like as much for the team as he does. Superb player in an average team.

Funny guy. Just not very good.

I know this thread is past saving, but come on guys... ... debating a dubious word? -
Cringe-worthy stuff by Busquets once again.
-
Another beauty. Barca 3-2.
-
Xavi just mislaid a pass
-
Boateng has just equalised for Milan. What a game this is.

I wonder what position Arsenal would be in without Van Persie. No-one else seems to score for them. Done it again tonight. One man team tbh.

Keep on working towards it Tamas http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/11/23/tamas-kadar-still-keen-on-future-with-nufc-72703-29824793/

Now try saying that out loud. -
Rather get a LB (Pieters?) and try out Santon at RB.

Exactly. That was my point. No-one can prove these things beyond all doubt yet certain members of this board choose to believe one thing or another as long as it suits their agenda. Why we get involved in this I have no idea. These are circular arguments that will never end unless something drastic happens outside of our control. No-one on here, in the pub or in the stands is likely going to be swayed by the arguments of someone else. As he's this board's most profile target - what do people get out of arguing with Leazes so much? You're not going to change his mind, and the same goes for his arguments in the other direction. -
Have any of you been watching Amazon's Black Friday deals? Unfortunately nothing I've seen so far interests me. £17.50 for 6 months of Lovefilm is a great deal though, but it's films-only so useless for me.

Llambias - "we will need replacements in the summer"

What has Louise Taylor (who has softened towards us as of late for the record) or the Guardian got to do with anything? -

You're obsessed with me, aren't you? Scaring me a little. As I even told you in that thread, it was the context that Leazes used the phrase "pocketing cash" that I wasn't agreeing with. I said if he's taking cash from the club, it's probably to service this complex 'debt' that the club has (which was his fault). As opposed to him simply taking money ouf the club irregardless of any debt situation, which is what I think some people believe is the truth despite being unable to prove it. -
How much SPL do you watch in Norway? He's on about Hoilett man. Seen.

Well, the question that perhaps should be asked if why enrique wanted to leave. Sure, europe and all that, but could just as well be the unwillingness to spend money. Yes we owe him alot of money, but part of that is due to the fact that he has placed alot of debt in the club, debt that we perhaps would not have if he did a due dilligence instead of paying 3 times the going rate. Thats not the clubs fault. He might not have pocketed the cash, but when fans see us selling players for 50 million and buying replacements for 5 its a valid question where the money went. There might be a reasonable explanation but in most fans eyes - and rightly so - that seems wrong. We are not really investing in the squad, just getting the best players we can within the ( very limited ) framework of what Mike is willing to pay. Nothing wrong with that. Well, there is - but thats how the cookie crumbles. None of which was disputed or agreed with by what I said, was debating Leazes' two comments (that Ashley pockets money irregardless of a debt situation and that we're selling off all our best players) comments on a very basic level and nothing else. -

Tired of seeing this "he's pocketing the cash" nonsense as if it's gospel truth. The club owes him a lot of money. The idea that we're selling off all our best players is so far a fallacy too. Carroll went for the most ridiculous sum ever in football. We didn't want to sell Enrique, he wanted to leave. Big difference. We hardly look worse off without Nolan and Barton and there are reasons for them leaving anyway. You're so blind it's untrue and I have no idea why I'm getting involved yet again.
