My bias is showing here, but; - It was a good tackle by Barton. A strong one, but he got the ball and went in with the one foot (and his knee). - Nolan wasn't grabbing him by the neck, he was putting his arm around him to try and push the ball out of the guy's arms (I'm not going to attempt to s.pell their keeper's name). Shouldn't have done it but definitely only warranted a yellow. With that said, our second penalty should never have been given so they're right to feel aggrieved for that.

You'd also prefer we lose matches 7-0 so "there would be no hiding for the pair of them". There's disliking the regime, and then there's you taking things to extremes and sounding irrational in the process.

9 points to go... Survival is all I want. If we can confirm it, I'll put up with whatever comes our way between now and June. Be it on 40 points or whatever it takes. All I'm thinking about now is staying up. Desperate for it. Don't like feeling this nervous. Slim glimmer of hope that the Carroll money will be properly invested in the summer and we'll be a lot stronger and better balanced next season. Still quite a way to go, and 2 difficult away fixtures coming up.

I hate to bring this up again but if we'd have won those 2 games we drew in injury time, we'd be seventh now, with a game in hand over Sunderland and 5 points off the magic 40 points barrier. Something to think about.
