  1. Zamblera is still on our books?
  2. What? It's 1-25 in the squad of 25 rather than their actual squad numbers I think. Teached me for not reading it properly.
  3. Keep it to yourself, if they notice it's gone then just make out that you were oblivious to it finding its way into your bank account in the first place.
  4. Can you please explain how that can happen legally ?? Bonus. We'll show a profit this year after selling Carroll. They can pay themselves a bonus. Hello Toonpack. Ashley to do a Shepherd Eh ?? Nowt's changed except were not in a financial abyss as we were. Ashley's a twat but he owns the club and there's nowt anyone can do about it and he can do whatever he wants until he goes, despite his twatishness the club's in a much more sustainable position than it was when FFS was laterly in charge. Uh oh. I've got a bad feeling about where this could lead.
  5. I remember having a poster of Maric soon after he joined. Must have got it from Match magazine, or possibly the official club magazine (Black & White?). Funny thing is that I can't remember a single game that he played for us.
  6. Result I wanted at the Hawthorns. 2-2 with a few minutes left.
  7. Exactly. What's he supposed to say, loony? Bearing in mind that it was an official interview for the benefit of their website readers and .tv subscribers.
  8. Time to convert Nolan into a centre forward.
  9. Bet the Arsenal defenders are having nightmares about playing against that forward line. Has the Fulham defence trembling.
  10. You on the pills? NUFC will soon have you crashing down to earth, make no mistake.
  11. £50m! How much do we stand to lose if we get relegated again?
  12. Another creative midfielder creating chances (not goals) for our mediocre strikeforce. Fantastic thinking.
  13. He seems to be making his money back now and when recovers it all I hope he sells the club at reasonable price and never darkens us with his massive shadow ever again. Best we can hope for I suppose.
  14. I'd have a lot of respect for Pardew if he quit. It's amazing. Ashley and Llambias have even alienated one of their friends in the game now. Their lack of logic and foresight is incredible. It's all about the money for them and they don't realise that NUFC is not Sports Direct. They haven't got a clue and they're determined to ruin every positive element of this club at the earliest opportunity. They saw £35m, realised that that is a lot of money, and took it without considering the situation it leaves us in. How is this going to please local players coming through the ranks? A few good games and you'll be cashed in on even if you love the club? I absolutely despise them and believe that he is surely in the top 3 worst football club owners of all time. I don't have a clue how Ashley became so successful as a businessman. He must have got very lucky along the way.
  15. No, you get a grip. We'll lose that much if we go down as we might well do now we've lost our main goal threat. £35m, no doubt embezzled by an owner who doesn't have a history of sanctioning big money deals. £35m, that can't be reinvested in replacing him for the remaining games in which to save our season. I'm stunned that anyone out there - be they Toon fan or not - thinks this is a good deal. This was an excellent deal up until the point of the window closing. Selling that player for any amount and not replacing him makes this potentially be a suicidal deal. This will be the season of what ifs. Well, yeah. If this was January the 2nd or early Summer, then I could understand. Not now, when we're not safe in this league.

Something has to be done. The thing is, however, nothing will work. Our only hope is getting lucky and someone ekse wanting to buy the club.

  18. That can't be true. I say that because I don't think the hierarchy can't stoop that low. If it's true then this has to be the last straw (how many times have we said that?). They have to go. And we can do far better than 27 year old Carlton Cole.
  19. To be fair if he had gone there they'd be a lot better off. Torres is still a huge loss for them. No guarantees that Suarez will adapt, and Carroll will do well but hopefully not to the tune of £35m. I'd have an in form Torres over Suarez+Carroll for sure. Suarez and Torres could have been one special pairing.
  20. Because he never actually joined them. I guess that little fact slipped under your radar. edit; Wasn't linked to them at all other than the first week or so of the window, if I recall correctly. Even then it was probably just paper talk.
