  1. 9 points to go... Survival is all I want. If we can confirm it, I'll put up with whatever comes our way between now and June. Be it on 40 points or whatever it takes. All I'm thinking about now is staying up. Desperate for it. Don't like feeling this nervous. Slim glimmer of hope that the Carroll money will be properly invested in the summer and we'll be a lot stronger and better balanced next season. Still quite a way to go, and 2 difficult away fixtures coming up.
  2. Imagine what it would have been like if we'd found a winner in injury time... Pandemonium.
  3. I hate to bring this up again but if we'd have won those 2 games we drew in injury time, we'd be seventh now, with a game in hand over Sunderland and 5 points off the magic 40 points barrier. Something to think about.
  4. I'm just trying to imagine the scenes if we'd have gotten a fifth. Can't believe I'm even considering it. I'm actually a little gutted we didn't win the game.
  5. Arsenal fans blaming the ref and Diaby and no-one else. Not saying we didn't get help along the way but they shouldn't be dropping 2 points against a side like us in the way they did, regardless of other circumstances.
  6. Really not sure what to say now. Speechless. I'm actually disappointed that we didn't go on to win it. After that horrible first half, I can't believe I'm thinking that.
  7. If we draw this I'll eat my proverbial hat or some other bit of hyperbole.
  8. Potentially record breaking day of goals today, 38 is the record to beat I think and we've still got a Man Utd game to go.
  9. Sturridge has 2 in 2 now. Why weren't we in for him on loan?
  10. The problem with Shepherd (et al) is that he seems to get away with more now than he would if Ashley wasn't even worse than him. They're both terrible owners, Ashley is much the worse though. No guarantee that the debts from Shepherd's era would have put us under are there? Just assumptions that they could.
  11. With that said - and this is not me defending Pardew/Ashley - we did put in a couple of pathetic performances when Hughton was here too - West Brom and Bolton.
  12. Amazingly they got rid of Hughton for a lack of experience, as if that and that automatically makes him worse than Pardew.
  13. Brilliant response. The worst transfer window we could have hoped for, a spineless performance away to a mediocre team in Fulham and then an absolutely atrocious home performance that I fear will break records. They're all to blame for this, but the hierarchy/Pardew had the power to ward off situations like this.
  14. They're going to break record here. I can't watch any more. I'm going to do some work and forget about NUFC for a while.
  15. I'm not on about a mouthpiece, or someone who can relay other people's opinions to him. I'm talking about someone who can actually advise him on the best ways to go about things. Someone he'd actually listen to though with that said, and I don't mean a yes man like Llambias who doesn't have a clue and shouldn't be anywhere near the running of a football club.
