  1. Didn't we ask this exact question the season we actually did go down?
  2. Ranger puts himself about a lot but is not good enough when it comes to finishing. To be fair, as Tyler said he is very raw. At 19 he can still improve.
  3. Cringing at CT here. I'll make a compromise with you, you get a dose of realism, and I'll also start hailing Shane Ferguson as our saviour.
  4. Can't blame Pardew for toeing the party line.
  5. Ben Arfa, Gosling, Ireland. What good is their creative play when you've got such a poor forward line to create chances (chances, not goals, I imagine) for? Time to convert Nolan into a CF.
  6. Thought about this the other day but didn't post it. We all said we needed more strike options before the window even opened. We brought in no-one and got rid of 2 more strikers. Incredible! What make this even more ridiculous is that Pardew himself thought the same thing. Then we had the West Ham 5-0 and suddenly Pardew is making noises about how "Nile, Peter, Shola and Besty" might have changed his mind about us needing another striker. To further reinforce this - and I've said this so much that I don't want to sound like a broken record - a second goal at the SOL and against Spurs would have almost certainly netted us all 3 points in both games. Games I might add that a midfielder and a defender respectively scored in, not a striker. Best is suddenly adequate because he put 3 past a woeful West Ham defence. Ranger is far too raw to be thrown in the deep end like this and Lovenkrands isn't an out and out striker. You couldn't make this up. It was as clear as day that this transfer window was massively important for us, and we've somehow managed to come out of it even weaker. Just about every other club around has strengthened significantly. An injured, mentally troubled midfielder is all we have to show for it. Ireland's position is not even one we're struggling with, although if his presence keeps Guthrie out of the team then that can only be a good thing.
  7. Zamblera is still on our books?
  8. What? It's 1-25 in the squad of 25 rather than their actual squad numbers I think. Teached me for not reading it properly.
  9. Keep it to yourself, if they notice it's gone then just make out that you were oblivious to it finding its way into your bank account in the first place.
  10. Can you please explain how that can happen legally ?? Bonus. We'll show a profit this year after selling Carroll. They can pay themselves a bonus. Hello Toonpack. Ashley to do a Shepherd Eh ?? Nowt's changed except were not in a financial abyss as we were. Ashley's a twat but he owns the club and there's nowt anyone can do about it and he can do whatever he wants until he goes, despite his twatishness the club's in a much more sustainable position than it was when FFS was laterly in charge. Uh oh. I've got a bad feeling about where this could lead.
  11. I remember having a poster of Maric soon after he joined. Must have got it from Match magazine, or possibly the official club magazine (Black & White?). Funny thing is that I can't remember a single game that he played for us.
  12. Result I wanted at the Hawthorns. 2-2 with a few minutes left.
  13. Exactly. What's he supposed to say, loony? Bearing in mind that it was an official interview for the benefit of their website readers and .tv subscribers.
  14. Time to convert Nolan into a centre forward.
  15. Bet the Arsenal defenders are having nightmares about playing against that forward line. Has the Fulham defence trembling.
  16. You on the pills? NUFC will soon have you crashing down to earth, make no mistake.
  17. £50m! How much do we stand to lose if we get relegated again?
  18. Another creative midfielder creating chances (not goals) for our mediocre strikeforce. Fantastic thinking.
  19. He seems to be making his money back now and when recovers it all I hope he sells the club at reasonable price and never darkens us with his massive shadow ever again. Best we can hope for I suppose.
  20. I'd have a lot of respect for Pardew if he quit. It's amazing. Ashley and Llambias have even alienated one of their friends in the game now. Their lack of logic and foresight is incredible. It's all about the money for them and they don't realise that NUFC is not Sports Direct. They haven't got a clue and they're determined to ruin every positive element of this club at the earliest opportunity. They saw £35m, realised that that is a lot of money, and took it without considering the situation it leaves us in. How is this going to please local players coming through the ranks? A few good games and you'll be cashed in on even if you love the club? I absolutely despise them and believe that he is surely in the top 3 worst football club owners of all time. I don't have a clue how Ashley became so successful as a businessman. He must have got very lucky along the way.
