Like who? Perch was the only defensive player on the bench at that point.

Bent scored their goal at SJP.

As if you have a job.

Were you that 13 year old?

Everton fan stabbed to death outside Anfield

Saying roads were closed etc. I think. Yeah. I distinctly remember something about an incident on Anfield Rd leading to the police closing it. -
This is circulating all over the internet. Believed to be the reason for the announcements during the match that you might have heard. edit; rumour proven to be false

Saw a shot of him sitting next to Carroll watching the game from the stands. Had near enough forgotten about him up until then. He's not injured as far as I know; yet he seems to play no reserve matches, hardly ever makes the bench, and for some reason hasn't been sent on loan anywhere. Not read or heard anything about him being shipped elsewhere, which is just bemusing. Just give him away if he's not going to get a chance of any sort any time soon. Can only assume he's not got the required levels of application to push for a first team spot. Just get rid if he's not doing anything but collecting his wages.

Definitely benefited from an easier season in a lower league.

Can't believe they're sixth. 5 points better than us, albeit with a game more played.
-
Explain your comment then.

Top class, as was Enrique. Today was one of those matches where I had completely confidence in Colo every time he had the ball or went for a challenge. Much the same sort of feeling I get with Enrique, although that's a feeling I get in every single match he plays in.
-
You're joking? Got to be honest, I looked away after they scored. Caught a glimpse of the last 30 seconds or so and then turned it straight off as the final whistle went.

It's now a case of moving on, getting over this disappointment. 2 points dropped, but 2 points that shouldn't matter come the end of the season. We're good enough to not find ourselves in the position we found ourselves in when we went down; i.e. needing a point or 2 to stay up. I'm not a Geordie so as long as we stay up this season, I'll soon forget today. That's all I want from this season.

I'm not taking anything away from our defenders, but I couldn't believe how bad Bent and especially Gyan were.
-
Cheers Everton! I feel a bit better now about today's events.

Lovely guy.

You on the wind up?

Not sure how that could be good enough for anyone. Pardew is spot on, 5 minutes was too much. Tom said it earlier but this really does feel like a defeat. A win today would have meant 3 in a row - and three clean sheets. 2 massive points dropped. Those 2 points might not cost us towards the end of the season but it's still very disappointing.
-
I thought Gyan scored in the 93rd, not the 94th?
-
Those pics should have lived long in the memory. Absolutely. We were in effect missing 3 of our 5 best players (Enrique and Barton being the two we did have). We had the much maligned Shola and Best up front. For half an hour we were even playing with 10 men, sorry, I meant Smith was playing. Gyan and Bent were awful. There is something about Gyan that I just can't stand. Maybe its his celebration, I don't know. I've never seen him have a decent match.
-
Anyone else have s slight worry when they saw, to their surprise, 5 minutes of injury time come up?
-
Not sure how this guy can class himself as a Toon fan.
-
Still can't believe this. We were comfortable, I couldn't see them getting getting anything. They have a bit of pressure, we lose concentration and the otherwise abysmal Gyan gets a goal and does that fucking retarded celebration of his. That's 2 points dropped that could prove vital come the end of the season. I'd be gutted regardless of the opposition. But to draw against this lot like that is something else. Imagine what a win like that would have done for us. It would have also meant Pardew had 4 wins out of 6 league matches, and the defence would have got a deserved clean sheet.

You can say "I'd have taken a draw before the game", as would I. But to drop 2 points in the 93rd... lost for words.
