  1. Shola can hold the ball up and Obertan can run at defenders, keeping the ball in the opposition half, and occupying tired legs. Plenty of logic in throwing both on towards the end of a match we're in front in.
  2. Thinking about that second goal, there are few things in life that evoke more relief in life than a goal like that, when you've feeling nervous and tense as you are when you're only 1 up going into the last part of a match.
  3. Love these. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQFyrNamr-Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf38l0-MItM
  4. Next to the fantastic When Saturday Comes, no less. Out of order.
  5. What about a minute of furious masturbating? How many calories will that burn?
  6. He was oustanding, both defensively and offensively. I love his passion and his energy. Can't believe people ever doubted him. With that said if he's got Ben Arfa in front of him then he has to work harder because Hatem doesn't track back enough.
  7. 2 Rayo pens in the space of 2 minutes
  8. Not complaining per se, but it really shows up our inconsistency again. 4 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws now. I don't know what NUFC will turn up nowadays.
  9. Talking of which, I see the mighty Celtic are getting beaten at home by Dundee Utd.
  10. Am not sure Hooper is a Prem-quality player (Championship/League One and the League One standard SPL are a different matter). And to be fair to Hughton, van Wolfswinkel has been very disappointing thus far but will surely improve. Will Hughton be in charge of him when he does? Doubt it.
  11. Love Hughton but he's surely off now.
  12. Calling for Poyet's head already http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/official-sunderland-vs-hull-city-tigers-match-thread.831488/page-57#post-16229429
  13. Half expected them to go on a decent run of matches post-derby. If they lose this today (surely Hull can beat 9 men?), I reckon they're almost back where they were.
  14. And guess who transferred two Southampton defenders in to his FF team this morning?
  15. Didn't have a perfect game but looked more assured than usual. A clean sheet will do him the world of good.
  16. I might - rightly, I guess - get abuse for saying this as an OOT who rarely gets to home games, but I think on match day a lot of fans are still willing to separate the circus off the pitch from the action on it, if just for 90 minutes. Clichéd I suppose but Newcastle United is bigger than Mike Ashley and I don't think fans should feel bad about going to SJP on a Saturday afternoon to support the team. To be honest I respect those that go, and respect those that don't.
  17. Loved Anita's celebration after the second. As for Obertan... he's capable of some decent stuff, and some genuinely amateurish moments.
  18. Brilliant performance. Done the shirt proud to a man. Clean sheet has perfected it.
