System found out. Several players declining rapidly. -
It really hasn't been a promising start to the season, no matter how many gifs you post in reply to my negativity. We have only managed a single goal away from home in four games and consequently haven't won a single one of those games. Howe is insisting on spending millions on, and then using, kick and run wingers who are very easy to defend against. Especially as Gordon is inverted, so has to go wide onto his weaker foot, and Elanga doesn't seem capable of completing an accurate cross. So the front three are blunt and easy to defend against, which makes it no surprise to see we have only managed a single goal – a moment of genius from Woltemade. This isn't helped by a lack of running into the attacking third from the midfield three. Joelinton looks in very poor physical shape. He looks like we've held onto him for one too many seasons. No surprise that he was hooked at half time today. It was frustrating to see Miley come on in his place, so we still had three midfielders who want to play behind the ball in the middle. It leaves Woltemade isolated, with only wide or backwards options when he receives the ball in the middle third. We've been unlucky that Hall and Livramento are out injured. Trippier and Burn are not an optimal defensive pairing, not in the age of ultra-athletic wing backs. Burn's ball work hinders our passing down the left. Trippier's lack of physicality limits the movement down the right. All together, we are a very predictable team to defend against. A lot of money has been spent and we haven't made the squad evolution needed to become a team that can compete in the league and in Europe. Now we are back in Europe, Howe can't rely on running the players into the ground on the weekend – and his tweaks this year to combat the fatigue have resulted in this shite start. Chuck some more gifs my way x

Ah, normal buseiness is resumed. Shambolic.
-
What a fucking player he is.
-
I don't know what a handball in the box is anymore.
-
Murphy, that first touch was dreadful.
-
We are so bloody predictable. Sub Gordon off. He's given up.
-
But he only managed to run fast outside and can only chop a weak cross on his weak foot. Opponents will be fine with that. He isn't getting past his man in a way that creates a good opportunity.
-
Fair scoreline. Eddie Howe doesn't know how to set us up away from home. Coming up to 4 entire games without an away goal.
-
Terrible performance after terrible performance.
-
Can we get a fucking card out?
-
He's woeful. League One technician but can run fast. Such a massive waste of money.

Not surprised. Another abject away performance. Holding on in defence and barely threatening. Howe's fucking this season up.
