They can't come out and say they're planning for it, its be picked up by the press as throwing in the towel. That said, they don't have a broad enough management team to be -actually- planning for it, especially as Charnely needs all of his mental fortitude directed at remembering to breathe.

I admire the effort. It's filling in for Fish currently, who has abandoned his usual routine of posting threads with a slightly nuanced way of looking at our current plight as a football club, that go on to attract 1 to 2 pages of discussion before descending into an argument between him and DK.
-
@@Ant, out of interest, are you being threatened with legal action over our discussion on this?
-
Fucks sake
-
That said, the lengths they're having to go to for discussing this are crazy

This thread, I think (it's hard to tell), covers certain of them criticising their club about this. So clearly some of them at least have registered that what's happened isn't acceptable.

If you say so. I personally feel they're extremely important on all manner of issues. I would also argue that people are 'fixed' in their position on the political spectrum because of 'fixed' agendas in the press...
But anyway, I actually agree that the press will dictate the outcome to this.

What has common sense got to do with the average joe?
Putting Tory voters aside (as we know they're fairly split), there's a lot of average Joe labour voters who will always vote labour in an election, but who probably share a lot of the little englander UKIP mindsets.
As I say, it all depends how the media plays it when it kicks off shortly.
I could swear you were playing down the impact of Murdoch and the right wing press during the election... What has suddenly made them more effective manipulators of public opinion, in your view?

The fucking wanker radio wanker commentator wanker
Ah yes, one of those twats.

It gets worse...
Detective Inspector Aelfwynn Sampson, the Durham Police officer who led the investigation, told the trial today that police were contacted by the club soon after they went to Johnson's mansion early last year.
He said: 'Myself and a colleague went to meet [chief executive] Margaret Byrne to discuss the offences and consider safeguarding for any other young people he may come in contact with through his work as a professional football player.'
Are you fucking kidding me?
How in fuck is our little mackem friend going to sleep at night now?

Brilliant
The mags turning to Ian huntley to back up the hatred of ADAM JOHNSON
Although it is only a select few. So shouldnt tar them all as dopey
Surely this is one of those times that it's not worth the battle? If our club had done the same thing, we'd be horrified. Let's face it, it's not like any of us would be lining up to defend Charnley or Ashley. Sunderland played him as relegation was on the cards, probably against the better judgement of a good number of their staff.
So look, for once, just join the criticism of your club. We've seen RTG, we know some posters on there are saying the same stuff we are (or at least they were until all the threads were wiped out). This is a thing that transcends football, even if only slightly, and we should all be man enough to admit it. It's not that it happened that makes you look 'classless', it's that you've started defending the whole shit show. And you'd say exactly the same thing about us if we started doing the same, situations reversed.

If 3 teams finish below Newcastle this year, they don't want relegating, they want to be taken out and shot.
We've used up our monthly win ffs. Knew this was a bad idea
I think these two thoughts sum my own up best.
-
Fully understand why he signed it but what a fuck up...

That thread is quite possibly the saddest and most hypocritical pile of shite I've ever seen
In fairness, it's not all of them. There's a fair few in there despairing at their own (much as we do with a certain poster on here)...but still, it's a horrifying insight. That Dangermows guy seems to have decided that anyone referencing Johnson is doing so to try and discredit the six in a row, even though I've seen literally no one make that point - and he now just looks like an utter fuckwit.
-
Yeah not a bad shout I guess. I meant more that the gulf in quality between the two is so large that there was no way Colo was gonna win it, but if you want to actually be technical about it, I can see your point
-
De Gea sounds like he's out for a while as well...
But yes, they suck
-
Aye but TT rules are that there needs to be an inquisition and formal review of the whole thing.

4-0 to Lillestrom.
McClaren to come out afterwards and state that it was a freak result.
-
"If and when"
I also see that he's gone for this 'proud to be a Christian' line. The one thing that provides cast iron proof that the individual making the statement has no idea what being a Christian is supposed to entail.
-
FWIW mate, Haydnator has taken his discussion over to the GoT thread, so I'd say your point was received.
-
The second colo went for him he had him though - I can't actually conceive of any scenario where colo was going to come out on top there.
-
I'm not going to pass comment on this as I've accidentally spoilered Renton before and still feel bad about it. I've not seen the most recent season of GoT either (i'm not really all that fussed on it) but I got spoilered by the Guardian the day after it one of the episodes came out in a general article that made no mention to giving away plot points, so I don't know how practical it actually is to avoid this stuff.
Rents could just stream illegally of course...

Was that sustained during child birth then? I thought he was off having a kid...

I reckon we could put Noelie up front and he'd stretch Colo for pace.
