They people who write the show (David Benioff and DB Weiss) have completely destroyed Stannis' character. In the books he doesn't listen to Melisandre, he doesn't burn his daughter alive (he doesn't even bring her with him), he has a much better plotline in the books which they have completely binned and so on. They've completely destroyed one of the best characters in the books; whom I want to sit on the Iron Throne at the end.
Yeah but people don't watch the show for character development - they watch it for burning daughters and heads being caved in.

Dunno like, I'd fancy us for at least 4 of those.
-
He'll be laughing because he knows he isn't going to be fired. There will be no questions asked, they'll just let him get on with it until we either go down or he somehow keeps us up. Either way, he has the look of a man who is under no pressure whatsoever.

They're a big club, mind. Or something.

The really damning thing about this result, from Villa's point of view, is that Liverpool really haven't been very good...
-
Oh god, Villa...
-
Watch Arsenal go on to lose their next two games
-
-
...to be fair to Arsenal, they dug deep for that.
-
4 mins seems a bit generous...
-
If Danny Simpson ends up costing Leicester the title, mind
-
Arsenal look rampant though.
-
There it is...
-
Leicester on the ropes a bit now mind... that said, Arsenal being the team they are, will be absolutely capable of losing 3-0 from here.
-
I wonder if that's Atkinson trying to even the game up...
-
The other thing as well - they're losing to a penalty that, while just about correct, shouldn't have happened due to a blatant foul immediately before. Not sure how Wenger is meant to control for that kind of thing.
-
As if any of the usual names are having a better season than Wenger.
-
Leicester one up in the title decider.
-
Fair enough - I think huskies are in that kind of territory as well tbf.

Are you his mum or something?
-
It's a pedigree or something then I guess?
-
Excellent summary.

I hate that expression as well. It's utterly meaningless as the players clearly don't take it on board and therefore it exists merely as something to placate the fans.

He was way too calm in the presser. Chalked it up to injured players, will be better after the break, etc.
No heart, no urgency, no pride... And it extends from the manager to the players.
Agreed - he's brushed it all off with the usual platitudes and soundbites. 'Aarons isn't really a left back...Taylor has played his second game in 6 months'. He's blissfully unaware that this situation is actually partially his fault.

I reckon the culture is wrong as well. Everyone knows we aren't trying to win things, the players will be well aware of that too. If you think about how they can raise their game when it suits them, it seems clear to me that they feel there's no point going all out all the time as the club won't support such efforts. It won't buy better players, it won't build on their success. So they may as well only play when they're in the shop window. Even for the players, that must be a joyless existence.
