  1. I still haven't finished 3 which pisses me off a bit since I put in all the effort with the others. They are very good games, but I think they peaked with Ezio; wasn't massively invested in Connor. Someday I want to play them all back to back as the story is good (although it has the potential to get crazy). Still not seen enough on the PS4 to justify buying it sadly. I'm not sure what I'm waiting for either as I'd buy games like Skyrim for the PC... I'm probably waiting for a good shooter that isn't one of the carbon copy CODs or something like that. I enjoyed Resistance on the PS3, I'd have another look in for something like that.
  2. Where is he going to go I wonder? I reckon he might not get a Prem team, more likely a championship one. Bit of a shame, he could have been a one club guy if he'd been less useless.
  3. Yeah - I considered that and thought it was encouraging. Then I thought about it a bit more, looked at how we're only 5 points behind Man Utd and ended up wondering how well we could have done if the board had given a fuck about competing.
  4. BBC reported that if Hughton loses today he'll be sacked - and replaced with Lennon from Celtic... I'd love it if that happened, the idea that Celtic are a big team would be shot down once and for all. Fucking Norwich of all teams
  5. Agreed - still think that shot he had lifted the team and got the fans going. Was impressed with him on the whole.
  6. It's becoming genuinely hard to tell though
  7. Assuming we stick to Ashley's plan depressing as it is, if we buy players good enough to finish 8th next season, we can at least look forward to winning from time to time.
  8. I think we were worth that to be honest... Not that we were good.
  9. You know what, ever since that Dummet shot we've at least been trying. Says something when a kid is the one who lifts the team.
  10. To be honest, I don't see the harm in letting Cisse run around in the hope that he gets the goal that suddenly restores his belief. It's not like Shola would be scoring.
  11. It's not even like there's anything I think Pardew should be doing differently... he's got absolutely no options; we pass well occasionally but lack the central dynamo of the team..
  12. We just seem to be failing utterly to do anything with the ball in the area that Cabaye used to occupy... It's either being lumped over it or possession is meaningless.
  13. Yeah guess so - not sure what the multiplier is currently but HSBC seems to suggest to me that it's at least x3. It's all a lot more affordable than I thought to be honest, assuming you can find a spare £20k for a deposit (or £10k now, thanks to Gid).
  14. Given that this is either Pardew's last game (surely) if we lose, or the start of our middling, plodding final part of the season, I'm going to expect a win. Pardew will go for it. He has to. Thinking about it though - if he goes, the only senior person left in the club of any note is Ashley. Which I find really unsettling.
  15. 18 for Uni - never went back. I was never one of those lads who particularly enjoyed being at home with parents, it felt restricting. With that said, I've been being shafted for rent for years now. Looking to buy soon (due to pressure from CT) and am shocked to report that Gideon's help to buy scheme is actually looking very helpful...
  16. That is a very good point... would he come here though?
  17. Stay until the end of the season at least, and see where we are from there. While I think he is a victim of circumstance to some extent (he developed a good system with the resources he had, and a key part of that system was sold - of course he's going to need time to re-engineer the system), if he can't come up with a functional team by the end of the season then there's no point in continuing really.

    Scots Money

That's the same argument the Scots are using about £120bn of national debt mind you - it legally belongs to the treasury apparently... although I still think that the consequences of avoiding that would be dire. As an aside, the fact that Osborne came out with this, on reflection, must mean that there is a serious enough chance of a yes vote that Westminster is prepared to drop the pretense and play hard ball.

It's politics though isn't it? That's probably exactly how Salmond will spin it. I mean he has to frankly, I don't see what else he can do.

Yeah the currency threat was the first intelligent thing I've seen Osborne do in his entire term in office. Salmond has got not a great deal of time to persuade a large undecided voter group that he can provide a credible alternative. His threat not to share in the national debt is bollocks, the EU and IMF wouldn't lend Scotland a penny if they did that. With that said, I fullly, fully sympathise with Scotland and wish they could take us with them if they go. We're ruled by a bunch of utter fuckwits in London with absolutely no interest in our region whatsoever. And someone mentioned earlier that if Scotland go then the Tories will be even harder to get out of power; very true - it's like 40 odd seats Labour would lose, that will make a difference.
  22. He's not going to be able to sell the club if he asset strips, and given how diabolically the team is playing currently, he's going to know he needs to spend to keep us afloat. We will buy people, just not enough for us to be competitive at the top of the league.
  23. Apparently he got to meet Martinez and Baines though... Not all bad!
