  1. Lib Dems can't join the tories. It's wrong on every level and will fuck them in the arse in the next (imminent) election. I can only see complete stalemate now.
  2. Where's Meenzer? How does he feel about becoming a tory rent boy?
  3. It's amazing two people of the same species can disagree so much. It was awful man.
  4. tbf Renton, given the same position Brown would be doing exactly the same. They're all in it for themselves. Out of the three I think Clegg is trying to see it from the country's perspective more than the other two. Labour and Liberal are natural bed fellows though. That made me want to puke.
  5. ...but can't offer PR, skirted around it. Also Lib Dems won't agree to tackling deficit immediately. He'll equalise constituency populations. Whoopy do.
  6. If the Lib dems buy this horseshit I will be truely disappointed. How many times has he said 'stong and stable government'? Awful stuff from Cameron. What a cunt.
  7. He's seeking collaboration with the Lib Dems with them as lap dogs. Sad stuff.
  8. Oh dear Dave, don't dress this up as a victory. It wasn't really. Next comes the scaremongering he accuses others of....
  9. I paraphrased that before retiring last night. Edit: I think it resulted in their hut being painted grey or something. Edit x2: And It was Barry who said it iirc and related to people having a second choice of colour.
  10. I'm sorry but . Sure he's a decent bloke etc but didn't think much of their candidate or the deluge of tory shit that came through my door each day (despite a Labour poster in the window). I've got absolutely loads of local issues with them too. Tynemouth staying red is my main plus from last night, looks safer now than ever as well.
  11. No. 10 doesn't have an outside lock on the front door. You can only open it from the inside. Trivia-tastic. Pisser if you're home alone and fancy a pint in the pub next door. Brown reaching out to Lib Dems, wants PR referendum. Desperate Naah, didn't really sound like that, shouldn't have used that choice of words perhaps. I think Brown knows he's gone tbh.

  13. And if it does? I can see it this time and iirc it almost happened twice in a row in the 70s. I'm just repeating what he said. I'm woefully uninformed on electoral systems. But the way I see it, if you have 650 seats and 30m voters then PR says if you can muster 50,000 votes you become an MP....which means UKIP would have 17 MPs and the BNP would have 10...you'd also get a growth of religiously motivated parties, which I'm not sure I favour. I prefer the system of voting for two or three parties in order of preference. Am i way off? The thing is though, why should people you don't happen to agree with / don't conform to the centrist parties be disenfranchised? Because in general they're cunts. I'm sure that answer could be framed better mind.

  15. Hoping for big cuts in his 70% tax rate under the tories.
  16. I can't remember the infamous thread. Anyone care to link to it?
  17. He didn't seem to have any issue taking up residence at No 10 without an election. Did Major? We're not the USA, we don't vote for a president.
  18. Osbournes life in politics will be short lived. Of that I have no doubt. Dave's mate though isn't he? Now I know I have an anti-Tory stance, but Osbourne really doesn't install me with confidence when it comes to the economy, bit of a bumbler. With a bit of luck they'll let vincy in. Seriously, what planet are you on CT? You can really see Cameron replacing his mate Osbourne with Vince Cable in a coalition? Ain't going to happen.
  19. I was actually thinking last night that the tories have nothing in the locker regarding up and coming politicians as well - are Cameron and Osbourne really the best they have to offer? I think Labour might have a few in the pipeline and we'll see The Super Milliband Bros in power after this tory lot are unevitably booted out. Hopefully.
  20. Hopefully literally, with Ashcroft's goons holding him down as Ashcroft himself goes at him with a sock full of oranges on his torso.
  21. If you really believe that you should support the Lib Dems. Sounds like wooly bullshit to me like, but that's not to say we couldn't develop some form of PR that works well, other countries manage it.
  22. How could it work though, you know, considering the Lib Dems are left of Labour and disagree on just about every policy? It would mean nothing will get done.
  23. Does BST stand for Bull Shit Time?
  24. Fortunately the euro is going down the shitter too, so our trips to Lanzaro'eee will remain just as cheap/expensive. Pity anyone who has a trip the US planned though. Think the US is stll quite cheap anyway. Also we nearly reached parity with the dollar in the 1980s iirc.
