That's exactly what people have been saying. You have to be doing this on purpose now like.
  2. It was a rhetorical question since what you describe as taking place would clearly constitute a conspiracy. Whether you choose to define it as such or not is irrelevant.

Difference between could and would. Like Ashley could afford to spend £20m on a forward in January, but he won't. Do you reckon Laudrup's on £500k a year like? I'd take him over Pardew but it's not realistic when you factor in compensation for them, what you'd pay Laudrup and Pardew's £1m pay-off. Ashley won't do it.

Which is why I asked who you thought would come and work under those conditions. Because I bet even Laudrup and Martinez, let alone Jol, Moyes etc. are on much more money than Pardew is on.

I'm not sure why you'd think that was my view, given I said later in the same post I thought plenty managers would take the job.

That's not what I asked. However, obviously people can criticise the manager (where did I say people couldn't?). The point I'm making is both obvious and pertinent though, especially in response to someone continually calling for Pardew's head. Who do you think would come here for £500k a year? I.e. roughly what Nile Ranger is on. And, as I've pointed out, they aren't going to have a lot of money to spend (zero/negative net spend perhaps). They're also going to have to work with the players someone else has chosen, i.e. Graham Carr. Another constraint, arguably. I'm sure there would be plenty people willing to take the job but I don't think they'd be what you'd call blue chip candidates. And I don't see Ashley changing tack and appointing a big name on a big wage, do you? So you can shout for the manager's head but unless you consider the alternatives it's just mindless whingeing that's not based on a pragmatic assessment of the reality at the club.
  7. I think Ashley's logic (whilst not agreeing with it) is thus: Simpson can do a job and he's leaving in the summer so we'll sign his replacement then. I would be more inclined to let him move on a free in January if we could get a replacement in though.
  8. Considering the anit-semitic shit you aimed at the player I just mentioned a while back I think you're getting a bit carried away with your mock indignation there.
  9. Incidentally CT, just following your logic here, would you then consider Obertan to be a proven quality player?
  10. Aye, transfer speculation after his best season, a few years ago, makes him a proven player. Are you doing this on purpose or what? Oh, and Aeris:

  12. I'm going to give you a modicum of credit and say you deliberately misinterpreted what I posted. Bar the last bit.
  13. No one is denying climate changes all the time. The debate is how much people are contributing to it. I do agree to an extent, i.e. that governments have, to some degree at least, exploited a change in public opinion which has made the imposition of ' green taxes' politically acceptable. Renton makes the obvious point though that it's fucking ridiculous to suggest a whole field of science is on some big conspiracy. That sort of crazy shit is lapped up by right-wing conspiracy nuts like yourself though, Tex.
  14. I take it that's the only part of my post you took issue with You bint
  15. Fucking hell, mate. That's awful. Not much to say other than I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm not just saying it either but you've always come across on here as a canny lad.
  16. He's not proven in anyway shape or form tbh. Unless being a promising youngster whose career has been basically littered with injuries for about 5 years makes you a proven player. He's done fuck all since he arrived too. And CT clearly knew fuck all about him before his time here. Marveaux's basically a technically adept player who has some potential if (massive 'if') he can get back to the form he showed 4 or 5 years ago in France. That's, more or less, the opposite of 'proven'. You bint.
