Yeah but he’s a taxi driver from the north east so he’s going to be lot more clued up about what’s really happening behind the scenes

Thought leaving the EU was all about taking power away from unelected civil servants and lawyers who met in secret to decide our fate. Sounds a bit undemocratic
-
Aye, plus all he seems to have done is confirmed the suspicion that, so far as the football club is concerned, he's tighter than a fish's arse
-
Hope they're easier to arrange than the cracking one we were meant to be getting with the EU
-
Probably haggled over the bill and didn't leave a tip

Yeah, read his other post(s) that avoid answering the question(s) posed too. That'll be fun. Meanwhile, he won't read the article you posted.
-
Well, I'm reassured

I saw someone criticising Benitez for the way we've been playing and then having a pop for taking Ritchie off because he's our best player. Putting aside whether or not he is our best player (and I quite like the lad) but what of sort of logic is that? It's the manager (who has very limited input over who we sign, it would appear) who is solely at fault for our performances and style of play and at the same time, you're acknowledging that Matt Ritchie is our best player? Some of those thick cunts deserve Ashley as an owner if they can't see the bigger picture.

And that most of our problems are down to the meddlesome EU.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cornwall-45735591 Aye, totally unrepresentative. The fucking state of them as well.

Well, I don't go to the games any more (or rather very rarely) and Ashley is one of the main reasons but other people clearly feel differently. I would personally advocate people who still want to go no longer buying season tickets so he didn't get all that money up front. I know the TV dwarfs the money off tickets now but it's still a substantial amount of income, especially since even as well-run clubs or ones like us where the owner spends as little as possible struggle to barely break even. Moot anyway as it's not going to happen. Also, as I think I've said on here before that people like to make a virtue out of not going and others make a virtue out of going but in essence it often boils down to those that still go still enjoy it (on balance) and those that have stopped don't.
-
A quick look on social media and you'll find no end of knackers who blame the manager. Although lots of people actually like going to the games still in any case. It's a social thing as much as anything

I was only joking anarl

Amusing to see CT's blood pressure palpably rise with each post. Also good to see him in one of his textbook Catch-22 situations whereby if he actually believes that about May's 'performance' then he's a moron but if he's posting it just to get a rise thinking it'll wind people up then ditto
-
Less convincing than the pre-fight McGregor/Mayweather bollocks. Which is saying something

The supporters at that rally, man.

I'd rather you kept that sort of thing to yourself

We said that too

Lascelles was the only one we could think of when we were talking about it who would command a large fee.
-
Think most, if not all of the other PL clubs, have a higher record fee and not only that but they've broken that record in recent years (generally the last 2 or 3 seasons ago at the most iirc). Ours is still Michael Owen from 13 years ago.

Still not progressed beyond level 1 on her how to be a human course
-
That's one thing I was talking about with my mate the other day in relation to the (presumably) unrealistic asking price Ashley wants. As far as assets go, our playing squad must have one of the lowest values in the league.

Love it
