  1. They should have tried to get one of them mini weekend breaks off wowcher or Groupon.
  2. Keith Downie, has revealed that along with the playing staff, Steve McClaren is actually on a day off tomorrow (Friday)
  3. Expecting nothing more than a hiding off Leicester there was no training on Sunday after the game. No training on Monday & there's no training tomorrow.
  4. Miles Starforth As it stands, Steve McClaren is STILL Newcastle's head coach. Understand he is yet to be told otherwise. #nufc
  5. Luke Edwards ‏@LukeEdwardsTele 2m2 minutes ago As things stand McClaren hasn't been sacked, Benitez remains in Liverpool & still hasn't talked to Charnley Both things need to change #nufc
  6. Lee Ryder It is understood that Steve McClaren has learned of his departure via the media. Not told face to face. #nufc
  7. Nothing would surprise me either the whole clubs a shambles from top to bottom
  8. I wonder if someone has accepted the job and this faffing about is because whoever it is has said he doesn't want to take over til after the Leicester game cos he doesn't want his first game to be a howking. Would be perverse and negative in the extreme but with this club nothing would surprise me. That would still leave McClaren in charge ?
  9. If it's up to Ashley & he's had enough & thinking of selling up in the Championship he just might keep McClaren as head coach just to piss us all off
  10. With all these delays its looking like the boardroom came up with a 2-2 draw
  11. Sorry I meant in regard of keeping the fans at bay of course there are no winners in this at all
  12. The club have played this very clever they've had this long drawn out thing with McClaren this week. Now they've got the Benitez story going (will he come or not). Now all this week the fans should have been in uproar to the fact that we had a massive home defeat to Bournemouth & we're still 19th in the league. All that has been deflected away because of all the carry on. Also as Howay said it's hardly been a good way to prepare the squad for the away game to Leicester.
  13. Just wondering what Benitez, Moyes, Rodgers any of the big names we're linked with make of the unprofessional way (the club) in particular Charnley's going about this.
  14. This from Craig Hope NUFC UPDATE: Meeting between Steve McClaren & Lee Charnley has not happened. Understand McClaren heading home, far from happy with treatment. Sack Charnley now he's useless
  15. Luke Edwards: #nufc are using an intermediary to find a new manager rather than relying on MD Lee Charnley. He is overseeing search rather than conducting Another indication Charnley is completely clueless it's only his job & he's got someone doing that for him
  16. I've no sympathy he knew what he was getting into with these lot. Also getting a £2 million pay off for being shite at your job no sympathy at all.
  17. Steve McClaren’s record as NUFC boss is appalling, and for that reason dismissal seems - and should be - inevitable. However, the current toxic drift is undignified, indecent and unacceptable. At the end of the day, McClaren is a decent human being who has a family, and the future of his livelihood is being played out in public. He knows the club are talking to potential successors, yet they refuse to relieve him of his duties. It’s the club’s responsibility to sack him, not for him to walk because he surely knows another opportunity this big will not come his way. Newcastle’s handling of the situation shows an ineptitude and incompetence we have worryingly come to expect from this decision-making process. For this to have dragged on until Wednesday, and potentially longer, is just farcical. McClaren is right to be exasperated by it.
  18. Craig Hope: "I understand NUFC hierarchy are now preparing to speak to Steve McClaren for the first time since the weekend." Amateurs you can hear Charnley now "Now Steve I think you might know why you are here"
