Trooper junior (14) has my full permission if any middle aged men stinking of cheesy chips & blue pop come near him to run like fuck.
-
Hope Rafa sends them out to all out attack an early goal will be essential to settle the nerves. I'm expecting a bad tempered game given the situation both teams are in. The hiding off Bournemouth didn't put Trooper Jnr off as him & his mate are going to this on Sunday.
-
With no fret up front I think the Rafa party may turn into a damp squid. I think he's got a bigger job on his hands than he first realised. If we're honest we didn't expect anything from this tonight so we shouldn't be dissapointed. Now Sunday is a different matter it really is a must win game we must take all 3 points to give ourselves a semblance of a chance of staying up. Anything less forget about the Premiership & trying to rebuild the football side of the club. Because I doubt that Rafa will be staying around long after the final whistle of the Spurs game.

Time to stand up & be counted on Sunday

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear

Stop torturing yourselves let's just see what happens tonight

Should have had a Spanish Omelette washed down with San Miguel

Just over an hour for the first Rafa team sheet
-
Weave him alone

3-0 Leicester down to earth with a bang you might think that's harsh. But we're already on a six away game losing streak no new manager bounce just yet.
-
I reckon there'll be quite a few of our players wearing brown trousers if Rafa stays on in the summer.
-
This is what I meant about him not being 100% committed (the get out clause). The only way to look at it if your feeling a bit down is he's here for 8 weeks he's doing his due diligence & hasnt signed yet .
-
Come on lads the inks not even dry on his contract yet & we're going to beat Leicester, with the same squad that couldnt beat Bournemouth at home. I know he's good but it's going to taik more than 1 or 2 training sessions

Alan Shearer "It’s a great coup for Newcastle to get someone like Benitez, if - and it’s a big if - he can manage the football club the way he wants to manage. "What’s been clear is that every manager that Newcastle have appointed has come from a point of weakness, where they’ve not been able to set their own agenda" “They’ve always had to work to a certain structure, whereas I think Rafa will be different - he’ll set what he wants, he can demand that he controls the transfers, and he can run the football club as he wants to run it" "When you look at his success rate, almost wherever he’s been he’s delivered trophies" “Newcastle fans will love anyone who gives them success. He’s shown he can manage in tough situations" “They’re crying out for something to grab hold of up here" “They just want people to sweat blood for the black-and-white shirt.”

Lee Charnley "the morning coffee "of the biscuit world
-
I like that, i expect Rafa will get the measure of Charnley pretty sharpish & will totally bypass him.
-
You'd like to think that Carr & Charnley would be finished if Benitez takes full control in the summer. Just leave Moncur in the boardroom to concur with himself.
-
So the chances are he didn't sack McClaren either ? imagine being told by that little toad you were fired
-
It's hard to believe an imbecile like Charnley managed to get someone of Benitez calibre to come & have a go. This is the same imbecile that handed over the team to Carver. We've gone from Carver to Benitez in 12 months it's really mind blowing. As I said before if he's still here next season then Charnley really has done something clever. But for now don't get too carried away let's just see what these 8 weeks bring
-
I've seen too many false dawns bonny lad if he's still here next season I'll be happier at the moment I'm looking at he's only here for about 8 weeks.
-
What a fantastic coup by the club I'm just a bit worried that he hasn't committed himself 100% to the club (the get out clause was expected). I think I'd have been happier if he'd signed a straight 3 year contract that way if/when relegation comes he would have the chance to completely rebuild the team. I can't help thinking he won't want championship manager on his CV & will probably jump ship if it happens. If it happens (I hope it doesn't) we will end up with another deadbeat has been yes man. This is a defining moment for NUFC & will see the awakening of the sleeping giant or see us resigned to the Championship for a long time let's hope it's the former
-
His credentials are of the highest calibre he's bound to have a relegation clause built in. There's no way he'll want to be a championship manager next season. Also I think 9 games may not be enough even for him.
-
Really he's only got 9 games to keep us up as the players have had 3 days off this week excellent preparation to play the league leaders.
-
Is there a contingency plan if Benitez decides against coming
