https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10037965/Boris-begs-end-fuel-panic-buying-claiming-crisis-stabilising.html Army 'will start driving fuel tankers to petrol stations THIS WEEK' despite Boris Johnson's claim that petrol panic-buying is 'stabilising' as PM rejects calls to give NHS workers queue-jumping priority

There's footage of some dickhead pulling a knife on another driver going round. The driver reversed back a bit then promptly drove forward & knocked the fucker over. Exactly what I would have done

The petrol shortage is starting to affect schools. Some school buses in Oxfordshire aren't running as they have no fuel. Also some teachers can't get into schools for the same reason. Apparently as tankers are pulling up at garages & filling up people are straight onto social media & within hours the garages are empty again. Seems like telling people NOT to panic buy has had the complete opposite effect. What now Boris old chum

Looks like Schnapps will be told to sod off. This from The Mirror ... The drivers who he hopes to attract say the Government’s offer is not tempting. Imran Mustafa, 32, who lives in Barcelona, said: “I would move but not for three months. “It’s not enough time as we don’t know the roads, the maps or how it all works. “...French people, German people, Spanish people, they’re already earning a lot of money, so why would they move to the UK for three months only on a temporary visa?” HGV driver Mehmet Ozalp, 28, from Turkey, recently relocated to live in Germany. He added: “I would only move for at least six months and above. “If you’re moving thousands of kilometres, it shouldn’t be just for three months.

Pictured wearing a protective boot during the week. I doubt he'll have done any training -
Just think if this keeps going with the petrol. Boris will be stealthly putting the country in Lockdown
-
At that rate it'll only take about 6 years to fill the shortfall

This from BBC 25 minutes ago The Road Haulage Association estimated the UK is short of about 100,000 HGV drivers - with existing shortages made worse by a number of factors, including the pandemic and Brexit. It is understood that about 5,000 temporary visas could be issued. Its still a massive short fall of drivers even if all 5,000 are employed
