  1. Probably just coming in to clear his desk Bruce is facing D-day as Newcastle boss - with the club ready to axe him - but he is due to take training on Monday (Daily Mirror)
  2. Amanda Staveley says that Newcastle United want to build a team full of stars as good as Allan Saint-Maximin. The new Toon director says that Saint-Maximin's youthful exuberance has already made her smile after taking a look at the winger's Tweets after it became obvious the takeover was going through. Saint-Maximin stated he wanted to see ambition at St James' Park and wanted to challenge for honours but now he might be able to achieve his dreams under new ownership. Staveley told Chronicle Live: "He is a star. The best thing about this morning was seeing his Tweet! "It made me laugh after the long days. We want to build. "We have some incredible players with heart and real skill and courage I want to see more local kids from here play for Newcastle, that's so important. We've got an incredible history of local players who are giants like Alan (Shearer). Sean Longstaff is in the team and is local. It's about building a solid foundation on every level, from the Academy to the top team.
  3. In £40 million Joelinton's 76 Premier League games he's scored 6 times. It means 1 goal every 12.66 games which is a shocking record for a centre forward in any league.
  4. From what Mandy was saying the other day the only 2 current players who should feel safe in the team are St Maximum & Sean Longstaff. I expect everyone else to be upgraded over the next 2 windows.
  5. Mandy... I had been looking at buying Liverpool but switched very quickly. I always thought Newcastle was an incredible club, an incredible brand and it's incredible at every level. Absolutely brilliant that she decided on Newcastle instead of Liverpool. I luv it ❤
  6. The other "poor" 19 clubs in the Premiership are calling an emergency meeting to object about the takeover 😁
  7. Cant see Bruce wanting to show his face at SJP next Sunday. He's probably been told to stay in Portugal. His money will be in his account next week.
  8. More from Mandy Can you make a pledge on communication? I want this to be an open dialogue. It's not my club, it's not PIF's club, we're just here to help build this club. The fans own this club as far as we're concerned. The communication links - there'll be an emphasis on an open dialogue and making sure we communicate all the time.
  9. Mandy speaking to The Chronicle Were you hooked on the atmosphere from the first day? I was. I just fell in love with the club, being among the fans. I just knew from that day on there was no other club for us. I had been looking at buying Liverpool but switched very quickly. I always thought Newcastle was an incredible club, an incredible brand and it's incredible at every level. Will you look to embrace club legends who have been exiled by the club? I've texted with Alan (Shearer) a lot, and Kevin (Keegan). They're heroes. I'm so excited to be able to sit down with Alan - I hope he gets involved because it's his club and it's so important. We don't want to dash in, though. It has to be the right thing that he's doing.
  10. According to The Express the consortium have spoken to both Keegan & Shearer & offered them ambassadors roles at the club. 😁
  11. Daily Star are reporting Alan Shearer set for Newcastle return under new Saudi owners after £300m takeover The legendary former Newcastle striker has reportedly been contacted by the club along with former manager and player Kevin Keegan about taking up roles within the club
  12. Imagine if Bruce is still in charge for the Spurs game. The stick he'll get be will be merciless I'd imagine
  13. Apparently the SD sinage has to stay up at SJP for a short while as part of the deal. .But i wouldn't be surprised to see a few ripped down at the Spurs game.
  14. Shearer in the Chronicle "I think I saw today Mike Ashley had a net spend of around £130m over his 14 years. "My maths isn't great but that's around £10m per year, and to have a football club that has that passionate support, 52,000 almost guaranteed week in week out, then that's not a huge investment at all. "We're now going to have owners that will invest and listen to the fans, and that's all our fans have asked for."
  15. Keegan... "You have to give people hope. It won’t go on forever"
