They have a similar graphic on BBC Football. They're no better than Talkshite these days, farming for ragebait clicks.

At least Leipzig are rinsing them by the sounds of it. It doesn't seem like they'll be getting any "special club" discount.
-
It would be amusing if Ratcliffe's, comparative, penny pinching fucked the deal, but it's almost certainly wishful thinking at this stage unfortunately.
-
If I'm being generous to Sesko, his agent, and Leipzig, it may not have just been a case that they were flat out stringing us along. He and Leipzig, like us and others, were perhaps doubtful that Man U had the money to pull the deal off, so he may have been sincere in communicating his willingness to join the club on Monday night, and was as surprised as the rest of us when they found the money.

The kids a fucking idiot who's clearly been badly advised. Amorim has proved basically fuck all at the elite level in his career, albeit he's still a young manager. His most impressive achievement is arguably winning the Portuguese league cup with Braga, given that winning the league with Sporting is almost equivalent to winning the Scottish league with Celtic, in terms of comparative resources to other teams in the league. Howe without doubt would have made him a better player with a no doubt detailed plan of progression, which is what a player of his age needs. As is he's going to Man U under Amorim, and I'm yet to be convinced that he's capable of improving players given last seasons debacle.

It's somewhat odd that it hasn't been confirmed one way or the other. You'd think if all Leipzig and Sesko were waiting for was an acceptable bid from Man U, then he'd be half way to Manchester by now, and the press would be pulling the heads off themselves reporting it. The reporting of their bid was about 5 hours ago. Maybe we put in another bid, although I'm still non the wiser as to how German football player bidding works. Surely it's still the case that they'd take the higher offer in most if not all cases. On a side note Villa are supposedly close to buying some striker called Guessand, so that could be Watkins replacement.

The other guy at Sky Germany was a bit clearer. It does seem as if Sesko is happy to go to either club and is letting Leipzig choose whoever is more favourable from a financial perspective.
-
What the fuck does this mean? He's reached agreement with both teams? So is it down to which offer Leipzig favours?
-
The fuckers found the money from somewhere. I can only assume they're banking on making sales later in the window, which is a very risky game.

I was being his Cyrano in this instance. Although I have a perfectly normal snoz on me 🤥

Very possibly, but it doesn't exactly take someone with investigative reporter skills to be on a whatsapp group, in a club, at a match etc, and ask someone he vaguely knows and is connected with the club, here what's Isak like.
-
Take this with a massive pinch of salt obviously, but Agbonlahor was saying recently that he heard that, even before his recent behaviour, more than a few of the squad were at best ambivalent towards Isak, on the basis that he knows how good he is and isn't afraid to tell people. How Agbonlahor knows that I don't know. I suppose the PL is a small world in any case, and maybe he's friendly with Targett for example given the Villa connection.

According to Romano, Man U have been offered Vlahovic off Juve if they pull out of the Sesko transfer, but they replied that they were still on Sesko. Vlahovic would certainly be a much cheaper option for them, so hopefully it gives them something to think about. Douglas was saying that one person close to the deal told them that Sesko prefers Man U and is just waiting for them to make a bid. He also said though that Sesko was impressed by our presentation to him, and that the club are hopeful if not expectant about the deal, having not heard anything that would corroborate Douglas's source's view from their end. One source could obviously be mistaken, have their own agenda at play, or their information could be outdated, so we'll see. And again, if Man U can't put together a credible offer, then where Sesko prefers won't matter, at least in terms of joining them. I suppose it's always possible that he could stay one more season at Leipzig. It would be nice if this gets sorted very soon. It's getting very tiresome at this point, along with our transfer window as a whole.

Nothing new, but this is the latest "update" from Germany.
-
I think it's pretty clear that he at least initially favoured Man U, or was just very motivated to wait and listen to their proposal. But if you believe Downie he was also impressed with our pitch a few days ago, and things became more equal between us and them as a result. I think the biggest factor will now likely be finances. Obviously finances are always important, but if he's not fundamentally opposed to joining us, and we're in a better position to offer more favourable terms than Man U, then we should have a decent shot. If rumours are to be believed, Man U have been trying to flog Hojlund among others, and or use him as a makeweight for Sesko, so there must be something to them being light on funds. I can't see Leipzig, or Sesko for that matter, wanting to wait around till late in the window for Man U to get their shit together. I'll not bet my house on it, but I do think there are a few different ways you can interpret how long it's taken to get an answer.

Seems logical enough. And hopefully his agent wasn't talking out of his ass when said the stuff about having integrity.
-
Ramos hasn't set the world alight at PSG, but his numbers are actually decent when he does play for them. He's just turned 24 as well, so he's obviously a better investment in that sense over Watkins. Not a bad alternative to Sesko, even if he's a different type of player. In any case it's good to have names out there to sharpen the minds of Leipzig and Sesko in terms of us not having to put all our eggs in one basket.
-
I'd send Gazza with a sandwich and a Costa Coffee at this point.
-
At this point we just have to throw whatever money it takes at it, in the knowledge we'll almost certainly have Isak money coming our way. Failing to sign another player, and this close to a new season, doesn't bear thinking about. The problem is that Leipzig, Sesko and his agent will all be aware of the aforementioned.
-
That's the problem with agents though, they give the nod like a 2 dollar hooker, in the hope that it will result in more money for them and their client.
-
You could be right actually. I was probably just misremembering this gentleman's agreement thing he had with Leipzig.
-
The pessimist in me thinks that Man U are just waiting until we agree terms so they can swoop in, but hopefully the reason they're hanging back is because they're unsure that they can match us, so don't want to show their hand too early.
