Milan fan having a normal one. At least it's amusing 😂

He can score and create as well. He's similar to Bruno in a lot of ways given his range of passing, tenacity in the tackle etc. I think it could potentially be quite versatile in terms of who goes and who stays back when we're attacking. Great mids can have that communication where they can share responsibilities. All of this of course assumes that it goes through.

Seen some AC fans on twitter having a meltdown because they think their owner is pushing Tonali out the door for the money.

Havertz and Jesus up front for Arsenal

Serious question, how would us getting Neves, again not that I think it's likely, on loan be fundamentally different than what RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig do regularly. Both owned by Red Bull and Salzburg are basically their feeder club. Didn't Leipzig line up that centre forward, Sesko or something, for mates rates in terms of a fee. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of feeder club relationships that might appear a bit dodgy as well, it's just that the Saudi's have done it on a much more massive scale.
-
If teams like Man City etc wanted to cheat legally then their owners should have created a multi billion dollar feeder league for their club as well. Fuck them 😉👍 Would be funny if it happened but I can't see it.

Why is the music for football videos universally atrocious? Maybe a bit early to post a video given it's supposedly only a bid being submitted, but for anyone who wants to watch it. In regard to Tonali I think like Barella it's going to be very difficult to persuade him to leave Italy. I read that he's been an A.C. Milan fanatic since childhood. Edit. Just thinking there that in terms of him not wanting to leave, it is possible that whatever happened with Maldini being let go as director might have soured Tonali's relationship with the club. It was Maldini who brought Tonali to the club from Brescia and obviously Maldini is almost the embodiment of the club.
-
As far as I'm aware Tonali is thought of as the successor to Pirlo in that sort of deep lying playmaker role. So think how Shelvey played for us under Howe, except Tonali is an elite player and athlete as opposed to a slow slap head who's more interested in golf than playing football. The Everything is Black and White podcast lads dropped a bollock on this. They agree that a move for Tonali rated at about a 2 iirc in terms of likeliness.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jun/20/manchester-united-and-newcastle-adama-bojang-the-gambia-premier-league-bundesliga?CMP=share_btn_tw We're supposedly interested in a 19 year old Gambian striker. You'd imagine it's between him and Scherhant, assuming both links hold water, for that young, inexperienced striker spot in the squad.

Our favourite Spanish/Irish nonce Miguel Delaney is saying that LiVARpool are interested in Barella, but are put off by the 80m asking price. A fairly safe non story from old Miguel.
-
I'll only accept Derry/Londonderry Scherhan. Yes people will very quickly get tired of saying both and shorten it to Derry, but that's my final offer.
-
According to the Telegraph we're interested in some 20 year old striker off Hertha Berlin called Derry Scherhan. Has barely broken into the Hertha first team squad, and would only cost a comparatively nominal fee. It would certainly make sense that we'd go after a kid who'd be happy to sit on the bench for a season or two to replace that spot that Wood vacated. Lets hope he's deershant. https://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2023/06/20/newcastle-plan-to-make-1-5m-german-their-latest-summer-signing-the-telegraph/

Anyone on here speak German 😂

Jesus is actually the anti-Christ as evidenced by some of his finishing.
-
Christ would be some signing like.
-
Looks as though we'll get answer on whether or not we're seriously interested in Szoboszlai in a little over a week at most. His final international match for the summer is tomorrow night.
-
It says that it's for personal and family reasons. If the article is true I suppose there are some circumstances where family comes first. Having said that there are ways around situations like that. As mentioned London to Newcastle isn't London to Timbuctoo. If his decision is largely based on wanting to live in London for the lifestyle etc, when he has Champions League football on offer then we've had a lucky escape, so it's win, win. He's always seemed a bit flash, and we could probably do without that sort of spice boy mentality. And as OFT said, if this means we go all in on players like Szoboszlai, Barella, Thuram etc then I'll be more than happy.

Apparently Lyon have to raise 60m euro in 12 days to avoid financial sanctions, so there could possibly be a fire sale of players in order to raise it. Cherki the young attacking midfielder and Caqueret the young defensive mid stand out. Perhaps Tagliafico as well, but given he'll be 31 in August his best days could well be behind him.
-
Of course that chart is very debatable in terms of what you deem most important for your team and how you play. And when you have Foden and Bernardo Silva in the bottom left quadrant it illustrates how important end product and the eye test are in comparison to all the other metrics.
-
Maybe. I though it was a Brighton player, but maybe it was both.
-
Is it LTA's birthday or something? In any case here's present 😉👍

I see Partey is being linked with a move away from Arsenal. We could do worse than him for that number 6 spot if the transfer fee isn't prohibitive.
-
Good player, but you'd have to question his mentality if he goes to Saudi for the money. Especially when he's still only 26.
