  1. Clearly desperate for a response! Barrack Room Lawyer QC.
  2. Mine are (from l to r) third from left, top right, bottom right. No shares tbh You're welcome to what's left.
  3. Neither of your last two posts made a shred of sense.
  4. Another beaut! Frankentits.
  5. Nowthatswhatamtalkinaboutmuthafucka. Anyone still drooling after Spaniards?
  6. Probably not - that's not a "good thing™" though. Heh you do get so very uptight don't you. You still haven't explained to me why murder isn't something to make an example about though, or mugging for that matter (not that I really think "making an example" often works, it's not what people think about in a lot of circumstances, and if they did overall longer sentences would have more impact in that context than one-off's). Although I'm a bit scared to ask in case you: Nice one. Totally embarrasing. Love opponents like you-do my job for me, so I have time to post on here. In the world of the barrack room lawyer, you're a leading silk.
  7. Greasy Spaniards? No gracias!
  8. Can't imagine that the judge would've been arsed what flowery language was used tbh. Did it impede the pilots ability to control the helicopter? Yes. Was this fucking stupidly dangerous in the extreme? Yes. Was there any excuse for it? No. Might this help to prevent people doing the same thing in future? Yes, quite possibly. Next case. Thanks. In all seriousness, wor lass would make mincemeat out of the likes of Fop, jovially banging on about people getting the death penalty for the likes of this offence etc etc. She does death row work for a charity out in the states and, while our legal system certainly isnt perfect (what man made thing is?) you honestly wouldnt pick any other country's criminal justice system over ours at the end of the day. Fop is basically an agenda driven anecdotalist whos views would be laughed at by both defence and prosecution practitioners alike.
  9. But why would the pointer do what the pilot said it did? It would have dazzled him with a direct shot in the eye, but lighting up the entire cockpit would require the canopy to split the beam up, yet in other examples the laser beam stays compact (dot on a chest in one example). And all the guy has to do is appeal and claim it's an OTT sentence and he'll probably get less anyway. Not that I've got any real opinion on the sentence, just that I find it strange to "make an example"/throw the book at them over something that might have happened, yet not over something that did happen. With respect, this one just isn't a conspiracy theory. Sorry.
  10. See now you're just ranting. I don't know what you expect really, exact explicit details (including court transcripts and police radio logs) of everything that ever happened ever, or don't say anything. That other recent case I read about in a paper, I've no idea how I'd even go about getting alex-grade "evidence" for it occurring to be fair. The hypocrisy on Fop is simply staggering at times!
  11. Basically in the public interest: Potential for disaster (by shining a laser in the eyes of a helicopter pilot flying over a residential area) x Potential for misuse (number of adolescents in residential areas with laser pens and access to alcohol who are likely to think its a good laugh) x Number of successful prosecutions for same (few) = Justifies a short custodial sentence simply for deterrent effect alone. Basically, if (as I think it's safe to assume) that's essentially what was going through the Judge's mind when deciding the appropriate sentencing tariff, then I have absolutely no problem with that at all and I struggle to see how any other right minded person could either.
  12. It was (although the example of the guy with the torch wasn't really), but the "example" context should work in so many other ways (is mugging not a stupid and dangerous act? Is murder? etc.). I do suspect the pilot probably over egged the effects a bit as well. Suspect what you fucking like. Oh and feel free to base it on zero evidence while you're at it. (A cardinal sin at all other times you perfect hypocrite) Are you saying a laser pointer would do what he actually said it would do? I'm not so sure, doesn't mean it wouldn't be dangerous though, or do you actually believe evidence is "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth"? "So you agree I'm RIGHT?" etc etc etc etc etc ad infinitum?

  14. Sponsored Hunch-a-thon? He's mid-wipe (just off camera).
  15. Is there anyone Stevie doesn't hate, like?
  16. Best. Thing. Ever. Seriously though, I loved that song when I was a kid. Didn't understand a word of it, but hey.
  17. Wearing that T-shirt for a bet?
  18. Change to the original itinerary like mate which I told you about a while ago. Was meant to be going down tonight man, but my mates quite frankly are all a load of anal spears, giving out a load of excuses, they're all skint (baring in mind I've just for a season ticket for the next 3 seasons) and one thing or another. So now won't be going down until the actual Sunday, which is a load of horse shit quite frankly, I was looking forward to a weekend on the piss sampling some of the finest clunge Manchester had to offer. Bunch of piss-kidneys the lot of them. I reckon my mate's lass won't have it if he's away that long like, she won't trust him (or him with me to be precise) the possessive cow. He still doesn't know I've nobbed her round his house before he has! May let that one slip out this weekend like if he's being a fanny! Nee bother marra. If yous were struggling accomodation-wise you should have just mentioned like. We've finally managed to get the toilet unblocked after Cath's visit so we're able to have guests again.
  19. When are you in town, 2Pints?
  20. And according to the current EU 'constitution' all member states have to be in favour, or is an organisation who ignore their own rules democratic in your opinion? Yes it would be. Now I think the progressive states should move ahead and leave the backward ones behind, for the good of Europe. The Irish vote should be respected but they in turn should respect the wishes of progressive states and take a back seat. Poor old fop knows as little about politics as he does about football. I do like it when I shut you up, and make you have to grope around for a silly insult instead. But with my limited knowledge of politics I'm fairly sure they'll try to go ahead despite it being integral to the treaty that all states ratify it - whether they'll succeed or not I don't know, although there's at least one other country looking like dropping another spanner in the EU Constitution. Limited is really stretching it. I`m sure if Ireland votes no again they`ll be left behind whether they like it or not. Should that happen they`ll have deserved to be left out (voting for a group of ex terrorists and a few peados in frocks) ... Europe has to remain and become more competitive if it is to be a real player on the world stage and simply can`t pander to a tiny majority who don`t even know what they voted for. There`s too much at stake. Time to move on. I don't think they'll be given another chance, I think some fudge will be worked. Also out of interest how can you crusade for an even more non-democratic EU when you say you live in a non-EU country for purposes of tax avoidance? Although again that does fit in with the new EU rather well, it's about power and making money, NOT democracy. The EU has never been particularly concerned with democracy tbf. It was set up very simply to avoid war in Europe and it's method of going about this was by focussing on creating an economic union. It's always been about the economic benefit of the Member States.
