"Back the manager with unlimited funds" Find the quote you lying cunt. "Give him the money and let him build his team" is something entirely different. I definitely said the Chairman should back the manager he appointed. As did you. It's what you harp on about constantly on here, but you're too feeble minded to join the dots and see how ironic your criticism of me saying the same thing is. "Back the manager with unlimited funds." Find it and make me look stupid. Fail to find it and look stupid yourself. You've already had to amend the quote you're attributing to me to make it sound eminently more sensible cos you know I never said what you've been accusing me of saying for years. I'm still waiting though, you parody of a shambles of an utter cunt of a liar. Somehow I don't think the prospect of 'looking stupid' carries much threat mind, seeing as that's what he spends his entire time on here doing. All too comfortable for him unfortunately. -

How about looking at silverware won by the departees.. Given - FA cup winner Milner - FA cup winner & League cup runner up Carroll - Leaue cup winner Enrique - League cup winner Duff - Europa league runner up Martins - League cup winner Carr - League cup winner Emre - Super Kupa winner & Super Lig winner Faye - FA cup runner up Sadly, if we were to base our retention efforts on trying to appeal to a players genuine desire for silverware, we'd be losing out to bids from the likes of Leicester, Middlesbrough and Wimbledon MK Dons, never mind the Liverpool's etc that Leazes is worried about. We'd do well to keep our mouths shut about that altogether tbh, our record is a complete disgrace and the biggest opportunities were all blown. A player is statistically better off being at virtually any other club than here using that criterion. Lets try and be positive about putting a good team together in the here and now and congratulate ourselves on each of the cunts we've shipped that couldnt give a shit. That doesnt apply to all in that list by any means, but overall, the effect has been a hugely positive one and thats all that matters.

This re-opens the whole debate over whether you (as an adult) should be able to flog your old baby photos (ie of you as a baby) to the paedos. A victimless crime Shirley and a welcome second income in these straightened economic times. I for one am sitting on at least two albums of absolute gold.

get Ant to open up the old database, and they are all there............including all the guff spouted by mancmag too ........ How convenient. You going to respond to the quotes where you admit "throwing money isn't the solution" as these are in direct contradiction with your current 'Only by spending money will we challenge' mantra? In fairness to Leazes, while his prediction that we would 'never qualify for Europe under Ashley' looks to be dead in the water, his other prediction that Ashley 'might now try to match the European ambitions (of his predecessors)' has at least come one small step closer to fruition. -
aye exactly, usually have quite a lot of time for Henry Winter but hes demonstrating some colossal naivety on twitter with this Massive cringe.

Tedious, average as fuck, English (press wankfest) winger. Ferguson will be telling him to go down like that btw-any touch you get in the box go straight down, percentage wise it's going to get given at OT. Do it early too for an early goal and settle the jitters. Nailed on Young will be under direct instructions at this stage of the season, no matter what shite Ferguson might have scripted for the interviews afterwards.

He means 'condemn' you self proclaimed utter chum. You need to auto correct his vocab before you start to pick apart his comprehension.

Young at it again. Dickhead.

Nicely summarised. The bit in bold is absolute nail on heed too.

5 years is a long time. Has it really taken that long for Mike Ashley to give us our first good season ? Do you think he will do what needs to be done to build on it and try to go higher ? This is what I have always said, along with the club being run for the benefit of Sports Direct, which will always come first. Players will be sold if the club doesn't make an operating profit. It was, and still is, hardly rocket science, yet people have rubbished that for all this time. I've said this before, and I'm not saying it any more. If we keep ALL our best players, and put 2 [or even 3] new players straight into that team this summer, in keeping with an ambitious club with the 14th biggest revenues in football along with 25m quid from sales burning a hole in the transfer kitty, I will be completely sold on the change of direction and look forward to next season with massive hopes and expectations, and admit that I have been wrong. Do YOU or anybody else see this happening ? Qualifying for europe should be the start, but all this talk of "progress" makes me smile in the same way as people posted years ago that all they needed was a "plan". The fact is, the "plan" has been and always will be to exist in the premiership and promote Sports Direct, making a profit and selling a player if a profit isn't made. The team has done better than they and everybody thought this season, but all it will do is encourage them to think they can carry on as they are, this is the extent of the "plan", and it is now in place. They will not attempt to push on, or do the right things that need to be done to enable them to push further forward. Sad, but true. Someone like me wants to see the club succeed and win a trophy or two before I get older. I hope I am wrong, but I'm afraid this is what I see happening, and what I've seen in place for some time now. I am going to see NUFC play abroad next season, because for different reasons which I didn't do it the last time, myself and my mate are both going to do this while we can, both in terms of getting older and also because neither of us see the club consolidating or improving on what has happened this season. Hard to disagree with any of that. As I keep saying, we have sold and bought well this season, no one can argue with that, but its unsustainable in the long term to keep selling your best players and replacing them with lower cost alternatives. You cannot expect to make further progress with this policy, if it was so easy then everyone would be doing it. If we can keep all our best players and add a further 2 or 3 quality players using the Carroll money I will be satisfied that at last Ashley is showing some ambition. If we want to capitalise on our good season and make a realistic sustained challenge for Champions League football in the next few years then this is what we need to do. Its what I would expect for a club with our support and potential. If we fail to do this, then this season is as good as it will ever get. Define "support and potential" brummie mag. Only it wasn't doing Fred any good after the last of the tick money had been spent. It's a nothing soundbite in the modern game where you're competing with bigger clubs and billionaire playboys. It's Leazes stock in trade quote but it means nowt. All it really is is what you perceive to be the legitimate way of saying you want it done in the casino way it's been done in the past (ie Ashley to gamble and compete with Chelsea and Man City etc). Only the massive difference is he'd have to do that with his own money as opposed to borrowed money. Yawn tbh. Which is Leazes prompt to say "who said anything about competing with Chelsea and Man City on spending?"..by which he thinks he's dealt adequately with the issue raised....only of course he hasn't because the original nebulous point is always premised on our massive size and potential...by which logic of course we should not only be competing with, but outspending Chelsea and Man City because our massive size and potential...is tacitly felt to be 'bigger' than theirs Effectively no argument at all at the end of the day, just the internet equivalent of shouting slogans. -
Based on what I've seen of them this season this is by far the worst Liverpool team I have seen in my lifetime. Wouldn't you agree ?? More absolutely woeful and desperate crack from Leazes. Carroll and Enrique left for a club that win things at the end of the day and fair enough on that score. It's just something that Liverpool do and we don't. So if they'd both have stayed here for instance, (which would have been a sign of NUFC being 'progressive' in Leazes book), they'd have won nowt. At which point he could have had a good laugh at them like now presumably. Liverpool will do it despite the countless millions they've pissed up the wall in the league and they'll do it because they have the pedigree and because the media demand it of them. They're in an exclusive band of clubs that win things every few seasons for those reasons. They pay the top wages but they demand most from their servants. We only ever paid the top wages. They did it during the time when we were 'being progressive' as the biggest spenders around, buying the biggest names and they werent. They won cups then and we still won nowt. Their players back then must now be really regretting playing for Liverpool and picking up cups instead of playing for the Toon and winning nowt. Or maybe not. Obviously the latter. We've had a belting season and we've progressed. Carroll has been replaced by two much better strikers. That doesn't make him bad but it means we've moved on and are a better team for it now. That's all we can ask for now. Steadily build and see where it gets us. Start from the beginnings in those areas of the club that had become truly appalling and drive up our standards of acceptability without obsessing over anyone else. No delusion, just graft. Liverpool would swap Carroll for Ba and Cisse in a heartbeat. Leazes in full on bitter meltdown of late and brilliant to see. I thought he couldn't get any worse than that time he was on the telly demanding someone "like that Arab man at Manchester City" but he's surpassed himself this month. Absolute mint.
