stayed respectfully quiet. fans of the same team argue about incidents whatever the result so opposing fans have no chance. but sod it. thought our squad was threadbare and in the last 20 we looked tired and ragged. Not surprising after the sevilla game. our bench meant we stuck with same 11 for 90mins. looked like our plan was to starve you of the ball and win it back quick if lost (kind of the usual plan). Stops us conceding. Peps been giving Foden experience across the front three as he's not ready defensively for midfield. I think in the academy he was a 10 and the usual know it alls would say he carried the ball like messi. more than a bit of a stretch but hes ok and may get a run there now. feared the worst when rodri misjudged a pass and you were 3 against 1. Gvardiol did well but you should have scored. And Rodri has plenty of credit in the bank so i forgive him. actually i feared the worst before the game. we just seem light on creativity at the moment. can't afford any injuries there. hopefully bernado silvas illness isn't a cover for a departure. seen a lot of hate for grealish. i get it after that comment a season or so back but he's a good lad. that clip of him stopping to shake that disabled girls hand on the way for his medal is standard for him. he's just a big kid that gets a bit giddy at times. carries the ball and draws fouls.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

That just made me think. I suspect our owners (and yours) might take quite the principled moral stance with a "rapist". Possibly more so than with an american owned club. ps. Not saying that Mendy is a rapist btw. In fact i suspect that he isn't. Given one of the women went back to his place several months after being raped and, whilst taking a shower in his bedroom, was raped again. Not read all the details but that one is dodgy as. -

If it was easy i'd give you a straight forward answer. Pretty sure he left our employ some time ago but now that his case is done, there's a rumour that he's after about 10m from us. There's the violation of bail terms and gross misconduct that work in our favour though. -
Pep wants to win every competition he enters. Super Cup won for the first time was important. Even if we lose to you guys, there's plenty of time to catch up. We drop lots of early points every year. I expect Stones and Dias to start against you guys (although they're not match fit). Bernado Silva should hopefully be back to join Rodri and Kovacic (who i'm still unsure of), leaving a likely Grealish, Haaland and one other up front.

If you want to know how long ago it was, Haaland's dad was in the City team that day ! And yes i remember us signing Weah. I couldn't believe it. A front 3 of Weah, Wanchope and Dickov wasn't that bad even if we did lose. That website has you beating us in 1893 even though we weren't formed until 1894. Doesn't seem fair. Bit suspect that we seemed to lose to you all the time between 2001 and 2005, when Keegan was our manager.

We notoriously drop points early on and this is our toughest fixture. Kev injured. But perhaps more crucially, so are Stones and Dias. Also Gundogan is a massive loss to us in both rhythm and creativity. It'll take a while to heal that hole. Think you're facing us at just the right time for you but at the same time, this is Pep. Pep knows all of the above and he just may have a cunning plan.

Signing of the season: Tonali Top goalscorer: Isak Biggest surprise: Bruno sold to City PL finish: top 4 CL finish: Do well to get out of the group as unseeded. Took us a while. Trophies? None (City are on for the Quad) Signing of the season: Gvardiol Top goalscorer: um, Haaland Most assists: Kev Biggest surprise: Pep goes from 1 false centre back to two. Best Young player: McAtee Player of the season: Rodri PL finish: 1st CL finish: Winners Trophies? All of them (bar the charity shield)

Have you guys heard anything about PIF being involved in Clearlake? One of Todd Boehlys financial backers. It's interesting given PIF are also involved with a number of Saudi clubs buying Chelsea players. Still i'm sure there's nothing to see there.

Another tip for you. Delete all emails once sent.

We had a splurge to get us to the top table. Now we're reaping those rewards. Spending at the right time. It's ultra competitive but i'm sure you'll get your days in the sun soon enough. The smile on my face will take quite a downturn in fortunes to remove

Go for it. City always walk away if bidding/demands go above our valuation on a player. City don't do bidding wars and it usually turns out alright. Walked away from Kalidou Koulibaly and got Dias, Walked away from Fred and got Rodri Refused to enter bidding wars for Alexis Sanchez, Harry Maguire, Cucurella, Harry Kane - wonder how much silverware those guys ended up with? Answer, less than Julian Alvarez got this season alone i bet. Rice is a good player but i think our £90 bid was a reasonable max.

If i see him, i'll pass it on

He played him in midfield early on in his reign. In the holding role. It most definitely didn't work out. I think the reason it works now is because the team all now know the patterns. And because he's Johnny, Johnny Stones, Johnny, Johnny Stones. And because he gets the Blues excited and because He f#@king hates united.

still there's always next year 😉

Surely then, they believe that Klopp could

My internet went Friday night around 9pm. Only been back online about half an hour. No internet = no football on my telly. Did i miss anything? Had to go down the pub and watch it. Loved it thanks. Didn't get to watch the parade online or glory in all the news. Honestly without the internet life isn't worth diddly (not serious just in case).

I love this article. be warned it's written by an aging city fan about haaland and city. it does however reference how we could have been just another sunderland. https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/inside-no-9-the-berserk-grace-of-erling-haaland/

There are different prices for different clubs don't you know. New money clubs pay a levy that the history clubs aren't subject to. I count us, you and chelsea in the new money clubs and the 2 cheeks of the same red arse as the history clubs.
