Shola, Cort, Griffin and Quinn in Blu Bamboo Jenas outside the exchange (now sam and max's or something) in Stevenage with "so solid crew" Harvey (i think) Think thats it.

I agree Milner was fairly poor yesterday but the 3 games before that he was MOM or very close. He has also been very good a lot this season. People make excuses for N'Zogbia's poor form because of the way he has been treated with us signing Duff after an excellent season last season but most people seem to forget the way we completely fucked Milner around in the summer and the fact he was excellent for Villa on his season loan. Does lack a bit of pace (but i wouldnt say he was especially slow) and his crossing can be frustrating as fuck sometimes but he obviously has the ability to do it and it will only improve as he goes along, he has only just turned 21 FFS! Look at wonderboy Lennon and see how many assists and completed passes he got last season, wasnt a patch on Milner BUT he has electric pace so is hyped up stupidly!
-
Blatant waste of money. What is it now, 10 goals and probably half as many assists? Not bad for a 22 year old in his first season playing in a new league.

Sorry I thought this was the thread about Meenzer
-
Absolute madness, even by young and english standards!
-
So he got one thing right in about 4,876 rumours, the lad is ITK!
-
Considering their first goal was offside and the build up to their second strongly included a player who should have been sent off at half time they do have a cheek!
-
Poster on the spurs forum Fair do's Chimbonda probably shouldve gone... But that was one of the most cynical and dirtiest fouls ive seen for years in the premiership... In Italy and Spain you expect it but not the premiership....hope the talentless geordie hasnt injured lennon as he waas limping after the decapitation attempt Talking about Huntington on lennon, dirtiest fouls he has seen for years in the premiership
-
It was offside though, assistant ref was blind which he proved when he must have missed Chimbonda slapping Butt! (yeah i did have a little giggle typing that!)
-
Excellent WUMery. Excellently accurate mate. Played two yards behind the offside line for both their goals 100% FACT First one WAS offside, 100% FACT

I must admit I heardly saw or heard Pattison today, thats ok if he is a defensive midfielder but considering he is playing in an attacking position its not really good enough. Did ok helping out the defence but its not like we were playing Man United or someone of that level, did Pattison offer anything in an attacking sence apart from gettin on the end of Milners cross?
-
Still would rather go for a player who isn't the subject of his own fans jokes.
-
He is a joke for their fans tbh.

Are you allowed to post a link to the goals on here btw?

So, do we need defenders or strikers? tremendous win borne out of guts and character. From a footballing point of view, the performance did absolutely nothing else other than confirm - and unfortunately it STILL needs confirming to many people who clearly have no idea what they are watching - the team is woefully weak in holding the ball up front and in the support from midfield, putting the team under pressure and being pushed back. Anyone who cannot see this is blind. With Sibi up top, aye. Martins and Dyer compliment each other marvellously, and the ball is played on the ground more when they are about. Searching for the head of Sibierski is pretty ineffective really. We ain't got problems upfront when it's Martins-Dyer; we score goals. Sibierski is slow and can't keep up with his strike partner, and erratic when it comes to holding the ball up. I'd like a stiker, definitely, i think we need one... but defenders are the priority. Well, stand by for more backs to the wall games like that then, and if Martins is injured I hope the new defender will be able to play up front. So if Taylor gets injured, is the plan to play the new striker at the back? Let's remember that Solano (a midfielder) is now suspended. Who the hell is going to play right back? Of course, you're thinking about Moore, Bramble, Carr and Babayaro coming back in aren't you Solano will be back after a short suspension. If Martins is injured we have nobody coming back, if Taylor is injured we have players coming back who we did - you fail to grasp the point, which is that better defenders will do absolutely nothing to prevent the team surrendering possession and spend the game with their backs to the wall like today. If anything the thought of an injury to Martins should spell it out to you how vital it is to have someone that can pull something up from nothing when this is happening, after today. Disagree, with proper (ignore the souness-ism) full backs we will be more effective in keeping the ball in the opposition's half!

I bet if I slap you across the face the useless cunts who are supposed to be in charge of this game still wont send me off! Still a little bitter about that

Anyone who cannot see this is blind. Maybe we would keep position in their half if we had full backs who had more about them in an attacking sense, we seemed to do a lot better down the right with Solano, just a thought
-
Isnt that just paper gossip?
-
Solano was clear MOM for me. Martins showed his true class in the fact he did fuck all for most of the game but still won it for us with two moments of brilliance!

Out of interest, what's less "user friendly" about this place then? And then it goes quiet? Perhaps Shearergol came across a wee bit aggressive... You're joking right? Alright calm down you complete mental!

Do you REALLY naively believe that I based my opinions regarding players on Skysports? Ben Foster is a better keeper than Shay Given, that's my opinion. Other people dispute it, what do you think I could do to "settle" the arguement? This is only the first season Ben Foster plays in premiership. I won't be stupid to say that Foster has a better career record than Given. But Ben Foster is still a better keeper than Shay Given from what I see this season. And Skysports has done me a favour by giving him slightly better average rating. Yeah kind of Why bring it up if you dont believe it?
-
Well I would prefer Henry but it aint going to happen
-
!!!? Given - 6.7 Harper - 6.6 Are you thinking that Harper has been significantly poorer to Given !!? Although I have said that Sky's ratings are not necessarily fair, I would not think that Harper has done any poorer than Given this season (apart from his slipping) When they had both played the same amount of games I said, its obviously gone up hasn't it! The point was Given is a better keeper than Harper although Sky ratings said different at the time!

Is ego more important or results? Why is it not demeaning to buy senior players from other teams, but humiliating to buy youngsters from other teams? Plenty of Arsenal players are bought from other clubs. Liverpool have no qualms in getting Pennant (and they paid a staggering 8 millions when they could get him next to nothing a year before). The few Spurs rejects played a big part in securing Portsmouth in Premiership last year, and top 6 this year. I see no reason why we shouldn't go for any player that we think could improve our suqad (better than current player or good promise) at REASONALBLE price. I couldn't careless about which clubs they are from. I wish we have a productive academy but if it is not working then we need to find new solutions. Well out of our starting 11 only Taylor is from our own academy. So we have been doing this practise for years (ignoring our own academy players and buying players from other teams). In my humble opinion the club could do better by heeding my advice - paying little money for young promising players from rejected by other clubs (McShane, Spector etc) Well yeah first choice 11 he probably is but we have a few squad players who are and will be getting games from the Academy.
