Chelsea are supposed to be open to offers for him. Wouldnt be my first choice because of his age but we are running out of time and it doesnt look like we'll be signing Kuyt/Klose anytime soon. Crespo's still got a lot of quality about him,and I think he'll be more than useful for us. 2.5M ought to get him perhaps??

Post count reset tbh. 165371 ah, so he's going for the thousandth i see. I'll get working on my 500 then

SHEARER SCORES!!!!!! 165368 You seem in a funny mood mate. Sure you okay??
-
more details??

I'd be happy with ashton/defoe/klose But replacing shearer means going for somone like torres/van nistelrooy. Not going to happen though

Don't take it personally mate, Alan Shearer compilations aren't exactly thin on the ground! Why not make a James Milner one, give yourself a bit of a challenge! 163421 Nah mate, it was nothing catastrophic but you do feel slightly put off when nobody bothers to take 10 seconds to comment on a video another person spent days on making. Thank yous arent necessary at all but welcome all the same. Comments on what was right and wrong in the video are very much appreciated. And im not begging anyone to download it, my comments was a bit of a 'oh my, my thread got 0 replies' exclamation!
-
feel free to do add it to your mate, and you are right about the sound although some of the poor mixing was down to the fact that i had to cut off some sound clips from other compilations.

can i have just the goals please???

Ah well

Alan Shearer.... Just like so many other newcastle fans, my favourite player of all time and undoubtedly one of the finest strikers ever. But I dont have to rave on about this man on here, he needs no prologue. Ive tried to put in this compilation just why he was one of the most feared players around, but also and more improtantly why he was so special to us fans. We wont be the same without him, and i'll hugely miss seeing him on the pitch. God knows how long it will be before we ever see anyone as talented as him in a black and white shirt, im just glad i'll be able to say ' i watched alan shearer play live' (even if it was on tv). Even if the complilation itself is rubbish, you'll love this video; just because its got alan's best moments in it Download Link(FileFront)

He was pretty solid I thought. And while he did nothing special, the same applies to the other 21 players that played the match. Slightly unlucky with the penalty I thought, Robinson was completely beaten.

For heaven's sake, we've got no money and a MASSIVE striker crisis. He scored 18 goals for them last season, he's free, and he's a stop gap. Use your brain and see the signing for what it is ffs. 153791 There have to be other strikers who are not 34 and are available for little money. If this signing happens all I can see is that we pay him silly wages for a year, he does nothing and then packs his bag at the end of the season and again we are looking for a striker. We should look for a long term replacement NOW. As for hasselbaink, age is the only factor which creates doubts in my mind about him. A 28 year old Hasselbaink would be great, but at his age he may do a job for a club like Boro or Charlton but not for one chasing CL football. (If thats the aim still, but with rumours like these you have to wonder). So you have your opinion, fair enough. But thats mine.

For heavens sake he's 34 and completely past it. I mean, we used to criticize shearer in the last two season, mainly because he lost pace and stamina due to age. Just wait till this man get on the pitch. Hope to hell its not true!!!!
-
He is very very solid, but Ive noticed that he isnt this confident when playing for Newcastle. His first few games for us were very poor, he improved then but never looked as confident as he did in Germany. Hopefully he'll carry it forward to the next season.
-
im worried about that bent link, we shouldnt spend that much on him. I'd rather have Defoe in fact.
-
It's more than likely that he'll be wiping that grin off your face with a hat-trick of over-head kicks next season for West Ham at SJP in the last minute to win the game 5-4 and prevent us from winning the Premiership on the last day of the season. 147213 I wouldnt be surprised if he did score against us though, but the fact that he could is nowhere near a good enough reason to keep him at SJP.
-
I'd be more than happy with him, next best option to defoe and van nistelrooy imo. He's got pace, power and good techinical ability.

Probably thinks this is some video-request forum.

I wonder...look at his indifferent, arrogant goal celebrations. I bet he loves it. Two of his goals in particular stand out for me as overhyped. The one against Spurs where he dribbled from his half (yet no Spurs player attempted a tackle) and that backheel, which wasn't even the best goal scored that day (Nicky Butt's scissor kick for us against Brum pips it). 144620 And that goal Dyer scored against Olympiakos in the Uefa Cup. nobody talked about that one.

Embarrasing? If he's scoring goals then no one should care if it's embarrasing or not. 144610 Yes, the English shouldnt. But do you think other fans give a damn as to whether England score or not? I was talking from their point of view. 144612 If they don't give a damn if they score or not, why would they be embarrased if he makes a twat of himself in celebrating? If you feel embarassed if an english bloke score and looks like an idiot you are very easily embarrassed. If an indian\brazillian\martian player did that i quite honestly would not be embarrased in the slightest by it. 144614 Not embarrasing for me, for him. I just think its pathetic But yes I'd be embarrased if i was a Liverpool fan.

Owen wasnt as sharp as he can be, but he was involved in 4 goals I think. That set-up for lampard's goals was fantastic. And the crouch dance is pathetic and embarrasing. Makes people wish he doesnt score so we dont have to see it.

ive got it somewhere, i'll upload it and send you a link as soon as possible
