Anyway back on about us, I've calmed down since last night and can see that these players gave it everything out there and that's all we can ask. We didn't have the quality to break them down much like the game at Liverpool where we dominated but didn't have the killer instinct. Wilson's lack of form is punishing us now, hopefully Isak can get some games in his place but I'm not sure whether Eddie seems him as a striker or not. Isak with 2 of Gordon/Maxi/Willock/Almiron playing off him keeps the intensity up and maybe they can find their scoring boots again. Targett coming back might give BDB a rest and a chance to rotate a couple in defence. 15 games to enjoy now. Let's hope it's a Euro spot at the end of it.

I don't get all this idea of us being at the start and there's more to come so it doesn't matter, if we have that mentality then we will continue to lose finals. We could have said that 20 years ago and look where it got us. Man Utd were dogshit at the start of the season, they've got 2 players who make them tick at present and both scored today. They did little for much of the game as their plan was to sit in and stop us playing in the final third with the early lead. Rashford is running purple at the minute and unfortunately all our hot streaks have dried up. Whether that's fatigue, nerves, over thinking stuff I don't know but we need to find what got us free scoring and feeling invincible again. We were there on merit and we shouldn't just have this plucky loser mentality.

I don't think Karius put a foot wrong. No chance against the free kick and no chance agains the OG. He made some good saves when they were clearly told to test him from distance.

They're just flooding their area everytime we come forward. It's been a game plan thats thwarted us in the last few games and it's working for them. That's why we've had so much possession because we struggle with it being so tight in the final third.

I know we're trying to work it into a clear opportunity but theres been quite a few times where we would have been better having a pop, especially with bodies in the box. Maxi has had the opportunity a couple of times for an early cross but has chosen to go inside instead.

As soon as it went to VAR I knew there was only going to be one outcome, he could have been waving in clear space and they would have found an angle and bodypart to play off. It's become farcical. They write the narrative.
