Jesus wept! That's more 'the exorcist' than mere tourettes! 35327 So you're suggesting Souness is actually possessed by the dark lord satan himself and thats why he's doing what he's doing?

Possibly.... But then KK had no interest in Newcastle's reserves playing at SJP and promptly abandoned the reserve team meaning that all the decent kids who were on the fringe, pissed off to other clubs.... But then KK was god, wasn't he?? 35285 Deliver KK standard football, entertainment and results, get us into europe and finish 2nd in the premiership and Souness can happilly ignore the academy as long as he likes. Get results and produce the football we all love and you can get away with other things, its always been that way and always will.

Bollocks, after reading that I'm going to have to go over and watch. Not very often you get to observe special needs children. 34883 Not really that much to see as being over 12 years of age i'm not being dragged into his juvenile little world again, even if i could get him banned again. He's still obssessed with bellamy though and in his delusional view of things that anybody who doesn't want Bellamy to die horribly should basically "Fuck off to Blackburn and support them" he is an amusing and yet deeply annoying little prick. 34887 Disagrees with you about Souness does he? 35027 Aren't you bored yet with following/mentioning or making reference to me in every thread yet. I may regularly criticise Souness, but he's the key figure at NUFC and thus worthy of mentioning, as far as i know I am not the most important person at NUFC ( a big mistake i know but what can you do) so why be obsessed with me? As for Scoreboard/Neil its more a disagreement over Bellamy than Souness, but the point is i don't have any problem with people do disagree, i have a problem with cocks like him who when you sidagree with them tell you to fuck off and support blackburn, devote whole threads to callign you juvenile names and eventually have to get banned for being a complete prick.

Considering what he inherited and what he's spent 4th should be the target and anything below 6th is unacceptable. If he actually got 4th i'd acknowledge a job well done and give credit where its due. If he got 5th or 6th i'd says he's done allright but not exactly spectacular considering the resources available and be looking for a new man to come in, but at leats be coming into a decent situation. Anything below isn't good enough and i should hope Souness haters/lovers/indifferents alike can all see that. I'll not bother mentioning winning trophies i think we all know that NUFC winning a trophy would require the curse to be lifted from thic lcub!

To be fair to the kid when i watched it he did manage to perfectly convey the feeling from "Oh fucking hell" quickly settling into a resigned, "i expected that really and we are so shit its unbelievable", he had a very expresive face!

See you can do it when you try I agree, they looked good for a spell last season until injury unsuprisingly wrecked it for us. I don't think Taylor has made loadsof errors until the last two games, but Boum has definitely not been the same player since the arse game. And believe it or not as i wrote that i wasn't atually aiming for a delieberate dig at Souness in particular for once, it was a point i would accuse most managers of, they invariably favour their big buys over kids who cost nowt and its not good. 35307 You mean it's involuntary then? 35313 Its like tourettes, so i could just be talkign at random about something when i...fuck...souness..cunt...ruining the club...come out with a load of expletives.

howay man PL....I think Zoggy has all the makings of a top player, whereas Luque seems a bit, er, erratic,....thats all. Time will tell, and sometimes these things stand out straightaway, in this case maybe, maybe not. 35294 Its way to early to tell with Luque who hasn't come close to having a chance to show what he can (or can't) do yet, espeically when the likes of Henry and Pires took a whole season in a top class team to reach the right level! I agree about Zog some of his touches, like the drag on the studs to fool Friedel and his freekick show the potential to be a genuine player and he combines it with a high tempo and energy and hoefully also will be a set piece taker of a high standard with time. 35300 Fantastic piece of class. The BBC *spits* would be absolutely creaming their trousers if Thierry or Wayne had done that. 35310 I think the word Jizz-fest springs to mind had Henry or Rooney done it!

I've never understood why people at the club fail to uderstand it. Particularly in a team containing Shearer width is vital. Its not just about launching crosses into the area eiher as some people think width totally spreads the opposition about and opens up space for your attackers all over the pictch and makes good fotball much easier to play and goals easier to come by.

If they'd been short and wearing black then possibly...oh and male as well!

I have always backed Titus and think he is about to establish himself consistently as more than good enough at this level and the mistajke thing is just soemthign people will never let go even though i regularly see countless defenders doing worse and more often. Taylor is a very young lad who until the last two games was held in high regardby almost everyone for his displays and suddenly people seem to have went off him. I think he again will definitely be good enough especially with time and experience when he cuts out a few daft challenges. Boumsong, i'm not sure. He had that great spell with Titus when they gelled perfectly, but he's been up and down in his time here and needs to dominate more and clear things in the air alot better.

The only time he's looked really solid is alongside Titus last season when Bramble was playing out of his skin. Call me demanding but for the money we've paid, I expect a centre half to be decent in the air, Boumsong never wins a header unless he's marking a dwarf, as he was yesterday. 35252 He has to do better than he is, as currently Bramble and Taylor should be the choice at CB but i suspect Souness won't have the balls/brains to do that and will shunt Taylor to RB if he wants to play all three. 35269 Souness dig quota maintained. 35272 Go on then disagree with it, tell me you honestly think he has the balls to drop his own £8m signing to play the other two centrebacks. Or find me another way to make the point that Taylor/Titus should be playing but won't be without mentioning the person who picks the team. 35282 To be fair, we were over a barrell with that transfer fee. We were desperate to get someone in and were always gonna get shafted. Having said that I'd rate him at nearer £800,000 than £8 million on his performances for us. 35291 Definitley not £8m worth so far, though my issue isn't with the price itself as the fact he will (like some other managers) favour his big signing over a young lad who cost nowt to justify the signing rather than pick who's playing best.

Whoever plays though, the partnership will need a bit of time to gel. If the two players can stay fit for a while that is, which seems unlikely given our luck. 35288 I think he probabl does as well. But like Bobby before him (see i can blame other managers too Gemmill) he will have his favourites and will pick against the young lads who cost nowt when it comes down to it. I want the two centrebacks in the best form to play together, at the moment its prob Titus by virtue of not having played! and Taylor overall this season has been better than Boumsong.

Why not say Owen or Chopra, i've seen about as much of Chopra in the prem as i have of Luque, so both are utterly pointless questions. Until Luque is match fit, never mind just physically fit and has actually played and finished some games in the team and not just been thrown in against manu and then injured against Fulham, i'm not goign to be stupid or arrogant enough to be making any sort of opinion on the bloke. Zog looks very good if at times raw and erratic and hopefully will develop into a top class player. Anybody who has an opinion of Luque in the premiership now has an entirely irrelivent opinion.

Yeah, Boumsong cost him the first booking by making a mistake and Taylor had to chop Bellamy down. But Taylor can have no complaints as like you say he'd already avoided a second booking and the ref will have said one more and you're off and he tugged Bellamy's shirt/shorts. Good to see people in the thread already writing him off though, lets ignore the fact he's performed excellently pretty much since he got into the team at RB and CB and call him a liability for the last two games. Yes he will have to cut down the yellow cards, though a few of them so far have resulted from team mates (both defence and midfield) dropping him in the shit. But thats what young players especially CB's do, they learn with experience.

The question really has two completely different answers: 1. Who i would go for if i was Fat fred 2. Who Fat Fred will go for For 1. I'd go after the very best coaches in europe and offer them whatever they require to get them here For 2. I'd say Shearer, Pearce, Allardyce, O'Leary and Bruce or maybe a short term otpion followed by somebody else long term

Its a tough call, because i did indeed say that, though in full i said credit or blame at the end of the season (or end of their time here!!!) as one off games can be down to various people on either side involved. If you come away from home and win 3-0 it would be harsh to give the manager no credit i suppose, but i'm sure like me you accept we were mostly crap overall and that Zog, shearer and Owen produced a few individual moments to get us out of jail. Also Given's save was crucial as without that we'd have lost.
-
Nobpdy has totally absolved the players of blame, over the two boards you'll find threads having a go at most players we have from one time to another. Boumsong for giving away stupid goals, Shearer for not scoring, Faye for being crap etc. etc. My stance has never changed whoever the manager has been, they are far and away the most important person at the club and ultimately deserve most of the credit or blame at the end of the season. If it were mostly down to players you wouldn't need a manager and could leave them to it. The reason people are attribuing the bad to Souness and the good to the players is because the performance was bad and at timed depressing to watch, saved by 2 moments of skill by Zog and a goal a piece from the strikers. Personally if i'd watched a near 90 minute perfromance that was sharp, full of good football and organised, well thought out tactics and gameplan i'd credit the manager. When we looked shite most of the game and saw 3 moments of skill from players i'm inclined to put the credit with the individuals involved.

I think it may be something from my end of things as its a continual problem.
