Racist Is that all you say? It is Racist tho, its like saying,"White boys cant jump" I'd say it's more of a sweeping generalisation. No, its racist. So is it racist to say Africans are shite swimmers? Show me an African Olympic swimming champion. Africans have actually won goal at the Olympics in Athens IIRC they won the 4x4 mens relay. You can't say someone is shit at something just because of were they come from is my point, so i dont want to get into a pointless argument. Black Africans I'm on about. Well what about chinkies? You'll never see China win the World Cup, or 100m gold, because they're all dwarfs apart from that basketball player. Africans are Africans mate, so is some one not English if they were born here but the colour of their skin was black? So is it because of were they come from they will never win such an event? I dont think so, it might be because they dont pay much attention to sports such as football and sprinting were other countries might do. Still its back to the old argument of you cant judge some one by the colour of their skin but the content of their character, as MLK would say

At the end of the day Argentina won, it is still one of the most talked about games of the World Cup. Maradona scored with his hand but then made up for it with what most would think is the greatest goal of all time.

Perhaps he should but I can see why it'd stick in his throat. If we'd won that game, I'd have fancied us against Belgium in the semis and we'd have been a good match for the Germans in the final (but would likely have lost). Like Maradona pointed out, England won the WC with a goal that didn't cross the line, you don't hear any one complaining about that goal. Things like that in football happen people should learn to move on.

Damien Duff has told skysports.com he would 'love' to see Joe Kinnear handed the Newcastle United managerial job on a full-time basis. Kinnear is currently interim boss at St James' Park after his shock appointment in September following the departure of Kevin Keegan. Keegan's exit was followed by unrest from the Tyneside faithful and led to pressure on owner Mike Ashley, who is now looking to sell. Reports on Tuesday have linked Magpies legend Alan Shearer with a permanent role following comments from his former England and Newcastle team-mate Rob Lee. But Duff is backing Kinnear, who has won two of his seven games in charge, after explaining the ex-Wimbledon chief has steadied the troubled club. Resolution Speaking at an adiPure photo shoot, Duff told skysports.com: "From a football point of view I think we have done that [found stability] at the minute with Joe coming in. He has steadied the ship. "We have got some good results under him. He has done well. But obviously from the top, the owner is trying to sell the club so hopefully we can get that resolved sooner rather than later. "He has done what he has in a quiet way. He hasn't really come in shouting from the rooftops. He is someone to answer to. You need that in every line of work. I think the results have shown his impact. "Definitely (the players have taken to him), yes. I would love to see him get the job. We'll see I suppose over the next coming weeks or months."

Newcastle have confirmed that Joey Barton is set to be sidelined for up to eight weeks after damaging knee ligaments during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Wigan. The midfielder limped out of the action at St James' Park with just 17 minutes on the clock, and left the stadium on crutches. He then underwent a number of scans on Sunday to determine the severity of the problem, and has been left disappointed by the results. The Magpies' medical staff have revealed that the 26-year-old suffered a slight tear to his right medial ligament during an innocuous challenge with Wigan's Lee Cattermole, an injury which is expected to keep him out of action for some time. A club spokesman said: "After further assessment today following scans yesterday, he has damage to his right medial ligament and will be out for eight weeks." Frustration Barton, despite facing up to the prospect of a prolonged period on the treatment table, remains determined to prove his worth at Newcastle this season. He said: "I am not blaming Lee Cattermole in any way for this injury. It was a 50-50 ball and we both went for it, and these things happen. "Obviously, it's disappointing and frustrating, and my sole intention is to knuckle down and bounce back and get fit again to help the Newcastle United cause." The one-cap England international has struggled to make an impact on Tyneside since completing a £5.8million switch from Manchester City last summer. Problems off the field have hindered his progress, while injury troubles have also blighted his time in the North East. A 74-day stint in prison over the summer then saw him hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons, while he was also handed a 12-game ban, six of which were suspended, following a training ground incident involving former City team-mate Ousmane Dabo. He has made five appearances since returning from that suspension, but looks unlikely to feature again in 2008.
