  1. Obviously the table doesn't look bright, but it still keeps another team in the pack. Only 5 points between 19th & 7th if it stays like this.
  2. Michael from Alan Partridge surely...
  3. Shocking to think as well, that we lost to both...although in terms of points if we'd lost 3-1 at Chelsea, 2-1 at Man Utd, and yet drew 0-0 at West Ham and 1-1 at Sunderland, it kind of balances out.
  4. Two of the clubs who will comfortably be below us come May, and two of the reasons we won't be going down.
  5. Ahh, NOW the commentators figure it out. Useless b*stards!
  6. Joe Cole was clearly offside when the original player struck the shot.
  7. Keegan tried signing Ferdinand for about a year before he eventually came here, so it's not totally unrealistic to think that had Keegan stayed, he'd not have had him in January tbh.
  8. Back on topic, Kameni's a very good goalkeeper. Sure Man Utd were linked with him a year or two ago as well.
  9. The interview after the match was class. "Who is Butcher? I went to the Scotland manager, but who is this Butcher?" Laughs in the press room, couple of seconds of silence, then a cheesy grin from Maradona bringing more laughter.
  10. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcasting/a...revelation.html First major casualty by the looks of it.
  11. Former Portugal international, Paulo Sousa. Random.
  12. I did love the fact that one of the members on there actually now lives in Abu Dhabi. Wonder if he partakes in Muslim traditions such as Ramadan while he's at home.
  13. I've always wondered how Andy Gray would do as a manager.
  14. Just scrolling down that, and there's two Scottish Premier League footballers' details on the list.
  15. Cantona obviously must have played a pre-season friendly for Sheff Wed too.
  16. http://archive.thenorthernecho.co.uk/2003/1/15/107893.html We we linked with Essien from Bastia there in Jan 2003.
  17. Haha, a few more photos from that Graeme Souness manager game.
  18. I'm sure it's still a helluva lot better than this.
  19. Spurs & West Ham would be f*ck all without their location geographically.
  20. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3111418710018525022 And footage of Eric Cantona on a week's trial at Sheffield Wednesday early 90s!
  21. And I know we had Hyypia on trial early 90s, as well as having a scout in the 80s who discovered, and trained the Cannavaro brothers, but didn't we have Schmeichel on trial late 80s but wouldn't pay the £250k fee, instead paying £850k for the tried and trusted Dave Beasant?
