And who are still 27-29 today.
-
Not for a sustained amount of time though. What I mean is players who were regulars in the Premier League, playing well, then by 27-29 had disappeared.
-
Answered your own question really.
-
Was hardly at a high-level in the Premiership at one time though was he?
-
Was just trying to think of a team of XI players who were once at a high level in the Premiership, but for whatever reason have seen their careers go to pot. For this team, they should still be at an age where they're in their prime, so the likes of Cademarteri, Jody Morris, etc. don't count. I've filled in 3 pretty obvious blanks. GK - Richard Wright RB - Stephen Wright LB - John Harley CB - CB - RM - David Prutton LM - Olivier Bernard CM - Seth Johnson CM - Stephen Hughes CF - Francis Jeffers CF - Carl Cort

5 Non Newcastle things that would make me happy this season
Optimistic Nut replied to a topic in Newcastle Forum
Perhaps because you're a nothing club, and yet the media still hype you up to be bigger than what you are. -
Perhaps instead of joining the Premiership they'd sooner join the Irish League and play against the likes of Cobh Ramblers, Bray Wanderers & Derry City. Then they can take as many Irish flags to games, and sing Catholic songs as much as they want without bothering the rest of us anymore.

6. Ruud Gullit to stick one of those Wii remotes down Jamie Redknapp's throat next time he talks more sh*te on Sky. -
Who do you think will be the next manager?
Optimistic Nut replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Maybe he's one of the Yanks linked with buying the club. Who knows, Newcastle fan, and close friend Tony Blair, might get the manager's job. -
I don't think Shearer spent 2-3 years of his life getting his coaching qualifications to sit alongside Hansen & Lineker for the next 20 years. I reckon if the circumstances are right, he'd take the job in a heartbeat. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing mind.

The Peter Beardsley one.
-
Aye, been confirmed he's going to be in England over the weekend to watch Tevez & Mascherano. Hope he hangs around until the Monday and comes up here to watch Jonas & Coloccini.
-
Yep, from the Official Club Shop too.
-
To pressure Ashley to sell, to make a stand and to boycott, else they wouldn't have had a campaign.

Why not turn up and ask them exactly why they're continuing with the boycott I can see from their pathetic press statements why they are. Also, I don't agree with the BNP, but I wouldn't go along to one of their meetings saying, "But really, why DO you want Asians out of the country?" But you see that is where you fall down in your argument, the BNP are an organisation with set objectives we are not. We will always go with what the majority of our members want, that was the whole reason for last night. Not joining because you don't believe in what we're currently saying but then shouting about it on here is rubbish and you know it is. If you'd have come to the meeting you would know that report is not in any way a good representation of the nights discussions. You would also know that other members of the committee including myself put forward differing views and at the end of it we had a democratic vote as to what should happen. Even the result of that vote has not been reported properly. Yes club spokesman Michael Teasdale did say that but it was his personal view in a private meeting and NOT a press statement. Its not rocket science O-N, come to the meetings and make your view heard but don't use the excuse that you don't agree with us as to why you won't go. My view is hardly going to affect your opinions and motives, so that's why I don't bother with it. It was clear from day one what the aims of the NUSC was, I don't agree, so I don't go. Pretty simple really. What are they? Are you taking the piss now btw? It was a perfectly reasonable question, stop acting the cunt How the hell's that a reasonable question, when the bloke who set up the first meeting is saying what I quoted in the original quote?

Seriously, what the f*ck are prospective owners going to think when they see things like that? Is this new? I thought they'd finished with the idiotic statements. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcas...72703-22151426/

I don't want to be a member, don't agree with their motives, so I don't go along. Simple as.
