Amrabat would be a good signing for them, I thought he was most likely moving to Man Utd? Well the next all action Midfielder will be Lewis Miley and they can fuck right off
-
It both impresses and troubles me that you found that so quickly.

It's very corporate video, isn't it? That episode is about how important a new sponsor is, right? Really handy to have footage of Staveley in the back of a black cab 'just after the League Cup Final' saying "Man United were just better on the day, because they've spent a fortune, which is why a new sponsor is vital". Because that's 100% candid camera stuff. Fuck off man There's a lot of stuff that makes my pinko commie heart throw up, but it is what it is, I guess.

I'm just humble enough not to mention my books on here.

I think it'll end up as Endo, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai as a midfield 3. Endo operating predominantly as the deepest of the three. Trent has been pushing up and inside, into central midfield, with Robertson shuffling over to make a 3 man defence (much like Burn does with us). From all I've watched and read about Endo, I've no doubt he's a decent player. I just think that with Liverpool's suspect defence and with the rest of the team so attack minded, they could ship a lot of goals. What they needed, in my opinion, was a true defensive midfielder. Unfortunately for them Chelsea fucked everybody by paying >£100m for Enzo Fernandez (at the time thought to be a defensive mid), which meant Rice and Caicedo weren't going for less than that. Liverpool were convinced to pay £100m for Caicedo, but there just aren't a lot of genuinely top tier DMs around that you could convince me are 'worth' £100m, even in this market. Mind you, we signed Tonali, Barnes, Livramento and Hall for a few million less than they paid for Caicedo and Lavia, so clearly Chelsea don't know what the fuck they're doing.

Going off that video and other stuff, it does seem to me like Endo is closer to a number 8 profile, than a number 6. He may be a pressing number 8, but he's not a player around which you can pivot play. I know they've got Trent moving into midfield, but where they had Fabinho and Henderson who were happy to sit in there and be that jumping off point, I'm not sure Endo or Trent provides that.

They've been forced into selling a promising player because their future years' accounts have huge holes in them. They're committed to spending over a £100m a season on players already at Chelsea, that hole has to be plugged with player sales, especially as the competition for lucrative CL spots just got even more fierce. With this deal, they've now got £28m guaranteed for next years accounts. Doing us a favour? Fuck that, they owe us.

With the best will in the world Endo (for all his reported ability) is 30yr old, so he's a stop gap signing at best. Found this interesting on him.

Can't believe I need to tell you this again, but; You're Not allowed to have a pokey bum wank in public.

If we sign Hall then, for me, it's an A+ window.

I reckon there's going to be a fanny hair between the teams 3rd to 10th. Man City and Arsenal aside every team has frailties, be it their squad depth (Spurs, Villa), their inexperience (us, Brighton, Brentford, Chelsea), or particularly suspect positions (Man Utd, Liverpool). If Man Utd had bought Kane they'd be a shoe in for 3rd, if Liverpool had bought Caicedo or Lavia they'd have 3rd or 4th sewn up.

Only until I get home.

Well she's going to get a shock when the results come back and I'm essentially Thor without the flowing locks.

I did, but it's entirely on my calves. Got a lovely side parting on one and corn rows on the other.

Got a letter a few weeks ago saying I needed to arrange an appointment for a health check. Just assumed it was standard practise for people over 40 so sorted it out for today. But everyone I've spoken to bout it says they've either never had one, or only started having regularly them when they were much, much older. I think I've been mistaken for someone else again, just as I was with the vaccine. They confused/conflated my records with some other bloke who apparently had a transplant, and sickle cell anaemia. Now I'm 80% sure I've not had a transplant, and I know for a fact I don't have sickle cell. Any one on here have an NHS mandated health check at 42?

All I've heard is that it's a permanent deal.

Do Wetherspoons still do 'Curry Club' on Thursdays?
-
That's a very British thing. Even now, in a lot of pubs you look at the number written on a wooden spoon in sharpie, then go to order your food at the bar realising you've immediately forgotten the number.
-
My sweet summer child, that is how everybody leaves a Wetherspoons, even on their 100th visit. Don't know what you were trying to say with "exploited inscriptions", and there's no judgement because it's not your first language, however I do intend to use that phrase in the future whenever the mood takes me.

Every night I've been hugging my pillow dreaming dreams of Amarillo and sweet Marie who waits for me

I think in Emil, we've got a 'Break Krafth in case of emergency' RCB and RB. Ritchie, Dummett and Gillespie are surely there for their experience, HG rules and knowledge of the local Wetherspoons. With the extra games, the extra minutes in each game, we should be able to give a lot of the squad way more minutes than we managed previously. Having that depth is a great problem to have. The hope is that we replace Ritchie, Dummett and Gillespie with younger local lads.
