  1. He admitted to the club he kissed and had sexual contact with child and the club chose not to suspend him long term.
  2. If you truly believe those wheeled out in front of cameras and radio microphones are representative of an entire fanbase, then there's little hope for you. Also, the "big club" thing is a bizarre argument, where one club values the league cup others dismiss it, some say it has to be recent success other go back to pre-war records. Big clubs could accurately be identified by their impact on the national consciousness, by that marker it's hard to argue that Newcastle United is not a big club.
  3. I said this on your board, you'll believe anything if it confirms the prejudice. Newcastle fans cannot be accused of delusions of grandeur, or arrogance any more, we've had well over a decade of doldrums, including a relegation. Our expectations are low, but you believe what Ian Wright or Paul Merson says because it backs up the idea of a Newcastle fan you have formed. Plus you go on RTG where you're bombarded with tales of the apocryphal Mag at Work who apparently turns up to work in a gravy stained newcastle shirt, declaring "WAH GONNA WIN THA LEEG". Doesn't take much intellect to see they're mostly fabricated, to perpetuate the myth.
  4. Lying is endemic in sunderland it seems. So sad, such a pity.
  5. You realise that's not true, right? Oh and that your wumming isn't working?
  6. I wonder what it's like to support a team that neutrals have no opinion of? I don't remember who went down last year, let alone signed up to their message board to gloat But remember lads, we don't matter
  7. See you're behaving in this thread but acting the arse in the others...
  8. That's harsh, he's just trying to be funny while aching to join in on our Game of Thrones fun.
  9. I think a good DoF can be a valuable appointment, I just think it's rare that all of the pieces fit together well.
  10. We'll wave on the way past next May mate
  11. Better effort than the kids coming on talking about Airports and the like.
  12. That can happen. Of course some managers can buy absolute turboshit if given free reign and can stymie any progress the club was making. Your club has had their fair share of those.
  13. You were doing so well until this post. One of the more subtle WUMs to be fair.
  14. We'd have said the same of Hughton to be fair.
  15. And Kirchoff and Kone. Yes Defoe goals were crucial but they did become hard to beat, which is why they went on a decent unbeaten run. To be honest Vill and ourselves kept them up, had either team performed to their par, sunderland would be down and we would not.
  16. We were wondering if Mindy is a Faceless Man.
  17. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if more was made of the divergence between the books and the show. The audiences won't hang around if it tails off like Lost/Heroes did.
  18. Fucking Hell, you're kidding?
  19. Maybe they won't pay it all, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if he went back to the league where he did so well on a deal not too dissimilar to Thauvin/Cabella. Good job I didn't say it would be
  20. Happy to answer any questions you've got.
  21. Wouldn't be surprised if we loaned him back to Holland with them picking up his wages. I agree with Andrew though, there's a few players who's fee/wages might put off suitors.
  22. Fair enough. Still think we've a strong enough spine to get back up at the first time of asking. Even if Ian Cathro is the boss.
