  1. To be honest if Burnley, Boro' and Brighton are the best that league had to offer I'm expecting a fairly straightforward return like last time. I've watched them each a few times and they weren't blowing me away. When West Ham were down they very much looked a Premier League team in the Championship. I'd expect us to follow suit.
  2. He'd walk the Championship in much the same way Enrique did.
  3. Pessimistically: Elliott Darlow Coloccini Lascelles Dummett Mbabu Colback Aarons Armstrong but even that would see us recoup a decent wedge. As we'd be selling >11 1st team players, each going for at least a few million. Even Cisse would go for c£3m at least. Say just south of £10m for the likes of Krul, Townsend, Wijnaldum, Mitrovic, Mbemba, Perez, plus the couple of million each for the likes of de Jong, Tiote, Shelvey etc. Optimistically we'll keep Elliott Darlow Janmaat Mbemba, Lascelles, Dummett Haidara, Mbabu Colback, Anita, Shelvey Townsend, Perez, Aarons Mitrovic Armstrong. But what's key is finding a manager who can get us back up at the 1st time of asking.
  4. He does, and if Newcastle were to be playing in the top flight he'd likely stay with us. But ask yourself what level of club he'd expect to ply his trade? Clubs gunning for Europe/a sleeping giant in the Premier League. The top jobs are gone Arsenal, Wenger's going nowhere Chelsea, Conte just appointed recently Liverpool, Klopp is going nowhere Man City, Guardiola just appointed Man Utd, Liverpool connection would be troublesome and they're either sticking with van Gaal or going for Mourinho the 2nd tier are either gone or not workable Spurs, Pochettino is going nowhere Everton, Liverpool connection will be too difficult a hurdle Newcastle, 2nd tier and unlikely to get proper support from the shitshow of an owner West Ham, Bilic is going nowhere Southampton, there's rumblings of Koeman's departure but I'd be surprised, also don't think Benitez fits their model Stoke, Hughes is going nowhere. And he sure as shit isn't going to take a job at a club lower than that lot. Valencia had a shit season so the expectations will be manageable, he's loved there and he speaks the language.
  5. Not made easy by his twitter activity. He's got himself a brand-spanking-new account from which to ask me if I've told the babies at toontastic that it's childish to hold a grudge?
  6. He'll not be welcomed by Everton after he called them a small club, and I can't see the many Madrid and Barce players welcoming him to the Spain job. This is most likely I think.
  7. Therein lies the rub. To awaken this sleeping giant will take time, control and money. At least 2 of those are things that Ashley is not keen on giving up.
  8. I liked it when he anointed me the "Self proclaimed policeman". That failure of basic comprehension was spectacular.
  9. Typical Greyman clique, refusing to answer the question.
  10. Why wont YOU answer the QUESTION?
  11. You sure he will? I'm in no way convinced by the rumours and hearsay in the papers.
  12. Which further pulls the focus on the aftermath of that game against Chelsea. A team that becomes hard to beat can stay up, given time, when you're having to gun for the win and have no confidence amongst your strikers, it's hard to get the points in time. I'm 100% confident had Rafa been appointed just 2 games earlier we'd have secured our survival by now.
  13. Think it was reasonable to take Pardew and Colo's side, but even at the time it reminded me of Bellamy's contretemps with Souness. Seems like I was right about this one too. When will the So-Called Accountant admit he was wrong?
  14. If sunderland lose tonight the flicker of hope lingers on. But they won't, so it won't.
  15. Well, that latest episode... nothing really happened did it? Spoilered in case you've not seen it yet.
  16. Wasn't Colo partly responsible for Ben Arfa's departure? Rumours that there was a rift between them and Pardew sided with Colo?
  17. Aye, there's rumours that Pellegrini will take over. I'd be surprised at that, but one thing that is 100% nailed on, Everton won't do us any favours tonight. It'll be a comfortable 2-0 I reckon.
  18. Maybe if you didn't use up your broadband perving over Denise Welch it might load the rest of the Gif?
  19. Interesting sunderland have never been out the bottom 4.
  20. When he sees it, he'll feel really fucking stupid. No wait, he's oblivious to his limitations, isn't he?
  21. What's to get? it's right there in the gif. You must have been starved of oxygen for some time, it's the only explanation.
