Belive you me, after you see these women you would certainly want to leave it hanging! He sent me it ages ago. I'll have a look and see if I can find it.

My thoughts exactly. Even more so after he sent me a link to their website. Judging by the photo's on there, there's not one of them I'd do with your punisher if they were paying me!

Going to Berlin for the weekend at easter when England are playing. France for the Euros too. Can't say I'm that arsed about England games but since we're there we might as well try to get to them. Think one of my mates is just planning on stopping in one of the all you can eat/drink/fuck brothels for the whole weekend in Germany like.

If a player does well for us and we are doing ok then what he costs is irrelevant. If we're stuggling, he's not very good and he's a waste of a transfer budget then of course it's a problem. Only time will tell which Shelvey turns out to be. But we've heard before how selling Carroll for £35m didn't really put that much into the pot because of agent fees and then wages of any new players (no mention ever made of wages saved that would have been paid to him mind you) so we know that with this regieme we need to be careful with every penny!

How many strikes does he get for calling Manure, United?

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread
David Kelly replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
Sky reporting that Liverpool have asked to take Caulker on loan from QPR. Always thought Klopp was a bit odd but I didn't realise he was absolutely mental! -
But are any potential buyers?

You should keep a copy of that so you can post it in each of our match threads!

Whoop de fucking do!

I think the problem is no one is confident he will. I can't see anyone being remotely impressed by this signing. The best anyone is coming up with so far is he might stop Schteve playing Anita and Colback together and he's cheaper than Shelvey (I'm not convinced that is much of a positive myself).
-
This is part of the disapointment for me. I know you can't always judge a player from other players fees (Mangala cost Citeh over £30m and I'd take Mbember over him any day) but it is worrying that he's rated so much less than others who have been complete flops. FWIW I don't think Cabella cost more than £9m like.

This would probably be the most uninspiring signing since Obertan actually.

Personally I'm talking about someone who's played more than a couple of seasons in a decent league at a good standard. If you look at Gini he's done that without reaching his full potential (you would think). He was Dutch player of the year and I'm not talking about someone at that level but I bet there are numerous players in the 25 - 29 bracket who have done well for a number of years. Like you say, the morons that run what used to be our club won't change their blueprint so it's all pie in the sky anyway.

I'm yet to see Townsend do anything other than have a (usually ridiculous) shot from distance, particularly in the premier league. He's done slightly better for England. But he'd be exactly the sort of massively overhyped home grown player we don't want imo.
-
I disagree that there is the same risk to signing a proven player as an unproven and examples such as Lamella or Veron (going back a bit further) doesn't change that. I agree with the rest of what you say though. I'd be at least as equally underwhelmed if we signed Townsend or Shelvey mind. I've seen enough of them to know how good they are. At least I'm just basing my doubts on Saivet on a record that looks nothing on paper.
-
Exactly my feelings. Hopefully this leaves plenty of money for a proper striker and a leftback.
-
Of course it can work sometimes where you sign a player like Kante and he fits in and makes an impact immediately. But we really don't have a track record of bringing in such players and we are currently right in the shit. The point is not that we need to bring in an English player or even a proven premiership player. It's that we need to be looking at someone who can come in and make a difference in a relitively short space of time. Saivet's record suggests that it's a massive gamble to expect him to be able to do that and suggests that we are again tryiing to do something on the cheap rather than paying a proper amount for a proper player.
-
This is exactly my point. We buy unproven kids (and even worse than that, ones the manager doesn't seem to rate) because in the future we might make money on them. We seem to do this much more often than we actually try to sign the types and positions of players we need to improve the team. It doesn't matter where the player comes from as long as hes ready to fit straight into the team. Young lads from abroad with no experience are very rarely ever able to do that. And neither are cheap also rans.

Sounds nothing like Porno then. -
They don't have to have been German or Brazilian internationals. Leicester signed Cambiasso last season and Inler this. The premier league offers players the opportunity to play on a much bigger stage and earn much more money. Do you really believe we can spend £13m on promissing youngsters like Mitrovic and Thauvin but can't sign more experienced players of a similar price?
-
Come off it. There's only a small pool of players who are 25+, have been playing regularly and that have looked good throughout there career?
-
I actually thought he was looking forward a lot more against Arsenal. I'm not a Colback fan but I also think he gets stick that is a bit unfair because he should be playing alongside a midfielder who is more forward thinking and it's not his fault that he doesn't. I don't really think he's good enough for anything other than backup either way mind.

I'm not saying (and have never said) that we should only be buying british. But good players (whatever their nationality) who have already played here will have a better chance of being able to effect positively our position in the reletively short time remaining this season. If we can't get those players we should be able to get good players with experience of playing in another country. We shouldn't be signing more young kids with very little experience (wherever they come from) or average players who are no better than what we have.
