  1. The problem with Mitrovic is we need goals now to preserve our premier league status. It would be great to have the time to get him scoring goals but we really don't. And the rest of the team has never scored enough to compensate. Gini has nine goals and Perez five and that's it. Shelvey might get a few but he's never scored more than six league goals in a season and Saivet wasn't even prolific in France when he was playing further forward. Our situation looks a bit better now but we could quite easily be back in the bottom three tonight and then we've got a difficult trip to Watford on followed by a difficult run. Things could quite quickly start to look very bleak again. Unfortunately we need to bring more goals into the team and quickly.
  2. I think there was only about 4 balls that weren't a six. Out a couple of balls later like.
  3. Aye possibly. Chris Gayle has just hit a 12 ball 50 in the big bash. Unbelievable stuff.
  4. I wonder how long Anderson will continue if Broad usurps him as our number one bowler. I still think he's got plenty left to offer but I get the feeling he likes being the main man.
  5. I tried adding a Real Debrid account last night (just gave the month a go for 3 Euro's). First go I used it to watch an episode of Narcos on Genesis. All of the links I'd tried previously had either not worked at all or buffered quite a bit. With the RD link it worked perfectly in HD without buffering at all. I then tried it again for an episode of Peep Show. The first link didn't work at all and I was quite surprised when I clicked on the second link and some Japanese porn came on instead. Now I will admit the porn played the whole way through without buffering at all, and without pixelated genitals, but I did think if the barin was trying to watch an episode of the Simpsons or the latest Disney film, this might not be exactly what I want. I'll try it again some more tonight, but the jury is still out at this stage!
  6. Broad is possibly more important to us now than Anderson. I'm not counting out Jimmy just because he's not had a great series so far in terms of taking wickets (his economy levels are still very good) but Broad, over a period now, has been more likely to have those match winning spells. Yesterday was absolutely fantastic.
  7. It was a very positive day and for a change I can actually watch match of the day rather than just delete the recording. We should have been much more comfortable. We had the chances and I think if Dummett had tried to stop the ball with his right foot he would have. I've said I don't rate Shelvey and one game isn't going to convince me otherwise, but it was a really positive start. I'd forgotten what it was like to have a midfielder actually play forward passes into the forwards and that ball for Janmaat for the second goal was superb (as was Janmaat's touch). If he continues to play like that, I'll happily admit I was wrong about him. I thought Saivet perhaps looked like he wants a bit more time than he's going to get in this league. He didn't do anything wrong like and he's just got here so hopefully he'll be able to adapt given a bit of time. I agree that Mitro is getting more stick than he deserves. Generally he had a very good game. He was holding the ball up really well and brought other players into the game. Obviously he needs to score more but hopefully if Shelvey continues in this vein he'll get more chances and the goals will come. I don't think we can afford to risk waiting for that though. We need goals to get us up the league and signing a player who has regularly proven he can do that. Austin would have been ideal and I'd take Remy back in a heartbeat. I'm not sure Lacazette would be the right choice (another young kid who hasn't done it over a long period and would be making a step up from his league) even if he would come. More talk today about Berahino. I'd be happy to get him as he's shown he can score at this level and I think he could play instead of or with Mitrovic. But again I doubt it will happen.
  8. Haha I wouldn't swap him. Stokes is getting better and better too. Unbelievable to think this time last year he was left out of the world cup squad.
  9. He's struggling a bit with an injury too. I've not been watching test cricket for long but he's the best English batsman I've seen I think.
  10. I think his fitness issues is how we ended up with him in the first place.
  11. They're the only team he can go to now after playing for them and us this season. Not sure how a loan helps us like.
  12. Root getting to a ton and Stokes getting a fifty would put us in a much better position. The weather must surely be the only threat to a result.
  13. Aarons played for the U21's last night. Don't know if that means he's about ready to play or whether it rules him out of this game.
  14. Aye that and as Ant says him coming on the back of a shocker of a season makes his signing a really strange one. Nothing about him has ever suggested he'd be a good fit here. It's also amazing that while Carr was watching him last season he didn't notice Payet!
  15. Not dropped by Elgar though unfortunately. Could have done with him getting to 50 or so.
  16. Yeah but while Leicester are doing fantastically well this year, they aren't a big club or considered one of the big teams. This is why I don't think we went into that game with the right attitude. And this is why I hope we realise how good West Ham are.
  17. Hopefully we'll go into this game with the approach that they are a good team. We've played much better against the better teams with only Citeh really beating us well. If we think we're better than them we'll almost certainly lose.
  18. So we're going to lose then. Fucking hell I thought you were supposed to be the mad optimist.
  19. Gini is a central player though. Other than that I'd probably agree about Payet. Which probably means it's going to be difficult to set any one player to pick him up all the time. Which goes back to my point about trying to beat them with our attack rather than by stopping their best player.
  20. http://www.whoscored.com/Players/14058 They have him as mainly left but sometimes central on there as far as I can see.
