What you see is opinion what I see is fact. If we don't get any more points between now and the end of the season we get relegated. If Swansea and Norwich don't they may well also be relegated but that would depend on Villa and the tramps.

That says our position is desperate and currently more desperate than those above us. Nothing more.

We're struggling and we're in the relegation zone = desperate and getting more desperate as games pass. Swansea are struggling but out of relegation zone = in their own hands so not as desperate as us Norwich are struggling but our of relegation zone = see Swansea Bournemouth are struggling but 3 points and a better goal difference out of the relegation zone = see Swansea but a bit better. Chelsea are playing shite but have a squad of near world class players = They are realistically in no threat of relegation West Brom are struggling but 6 points clear = by no means great but not desperate at this stage Watford are experiencing their first bad run since promotion but are still 8 points clear with a far superior goal difference = could still get dragged in but not desperate. Surely none of this is difficult to understand?

Obviously the teams around us are struggling, we're in the bottom three, if they weren't struggling they wouldn't be around us. But Swansea have just won their last game to move above and just appointed a new manager so I wouldnt say they were throwing in the towel just yet. And Bournemouth have also strengthened and have been picking up results more regularly than us.

It seems so. In spite of myself I'm actually getting quite excited about the possibility of bringing in Berahino so I just know we'll end up with fucking Gomis or someone when we're desperate!

I hope so. Although, would that be enough given that only Gini is regularly chipping in from the rest of the team?

We can't claim to be dragging ourselves out without actually dragging ourselves out of the bottom three. Recent performances have been more heartening but that counts for very little when we're in relegation position. In some ways it could be more disheartening for the players to see their effors going basically unrewarded.

We're still in the relegation zone and the amount of games we have to get ourselves out of it is reducing. That to me is getting more desperate.

It's a good film that. They don't go into the any real detail about the abuse so it's not depressing like that. It's more about the people from the paper (I suppose a but more like All The Presidents Men) investigating the cover up. Thought Keaton looked alright in it for a bloke in his mid 60's. -

No idea about the kid from Barca but I'm not any more excited about Sinclair than I am about Townsend. Phillips looked decent when I've seen him but I've not seen much. -

Totally agree with this. If we signed Berahino (and I think it's a big if) he could play with Mitrovic, in place of him or in a wider forward position (like Ba & Remy did sucessfully here). Perez is better than Townsend (even if he has looked a bit jaded recently) and he can be used on the left along with Berahino and Aarons (obviously not all at the same time). -
How long can we afford to wait for the goals to come though? Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Mitrovic, I like him and I do think he has goals in him. But out situaiton is getting more desperate with each passing week!

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread
David Kelly replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
We really can't afford to risk getting strung along by Berahino/West Brom. We are in desperate need of goals so we need to either sign him or move quickly on to someone else. Mitro is struggling to score, Cisse is crocked and Riviere isn't up to the job so we cannot come out of the window with just those three. So we need to stop preparing and actually make a substantial bid for him. If that means chucking an extra couple of million then so be it. West Brom say they want to keep him but I don't see how they could possibly turn down £20m+ for a player who Pulis isn't playing. -
Anyone know of anywhere in the town that will have the match on? Think I'm going to be out on the piss Saturday afternoon.

And they were correct to do so!

Creed. Better than the last Rocky film but not exactly great. Tony Belew was never going to be as good an opponent as Apollo Creed and I think that (as well as Stalone looking like Bo Selecta these days) was the main flaw. -

I'm no fan of Townsend but a player not getting a start in Spurs team doesn't necessarily mean he's not good enough for us. Despite us beating them, they're doing considerably better than us. -
Aye, deluded!

Well generally I feel the same. Although I do think Sissoko has picked his game up quite a bit in the last six weeks or so (if I was being cynical I would say he's playing for a move) even if his touch is still shite. I've never rated Townsend like but I assume if we sign him, we'll be wanting to play him. -

I think Berahino is pretty pacey so we could use him as a loan striker in a different way to Mitrovic. Gini is our best player so you have to play him in the position where he plays the best. That certainly isn't out wide and appears to be behind the striker. I don't see how you can play him there behind a front two and with Shelvey playing, for anything other than a last ditch attempt to salvage something from a game. Therefore I struggle to see how we could fit Mitro, Gini, Sissoko, Berahino and Townsend all on the pitch at the same time. -
Aye there's very little that he's done that's actually improved our finances. Not paying interest on the loans is about it.

Either that or sent to secure hospital. It was actually in the papers a few days later. I can't remember what the outcome was like.
-
I think you have the right to request it to be taken to court. I got down to the last 15 (I think it is) for another case but didn't get picked for the final 12. That was for a bloke who shoplifted a steak from Asda. Apparently his defence was it looked like his dead mother so he put it in his back to stop it looking at him.
