Somehow Pingel's goal is the only thing I remember about that game. Robertson was an absolute disaster here, only managed 12 games and never really looked like scoring yet he was phenomenal for Hearts!

Are San Lorenzo that ambitious? I don't think they've ever been one of the top clubs there and apparently they're skint! I can't see where ambition comes into this. If it does there are surely a lot of other clubs that would want him and be able to pay a reasonable fee.

I'd forgotten that Roeder was still there in the relegation season (a season that started similar to this season with optimism although we'd actually spent money that summer it's just the players we spent it on generally were shit or played that way for us!). Mira was exactly what everyone else has said, able to do some exceptional things but more often than not very ordinary or downright shite. And by far the most selfish player I've ever seen. He's worthy of being looked at as a cult player for his moments of brilliance combined with sheer lunacy (like Ketsbia) but shouldn't be mistaken for a top player.

Hope so, from what people are saying he sounds like a top prospect and already a very good player. Fuck knows whether any of these three signings will come off but lets hope they do and soon so we can quickly turn our attention to bringing Ba's replacement in. Not to mention Best/Lovenkrands!

I'm sure it's not going to go well for us in any respect. They'll probably offer a fraction of what he's worth now or we take it legal to get more during which time he can't play for them and wont play for us. Either way we'll be our captain down without the funds to adequately replace him. Given that and what impact allowing a player to just fuck off for a fraction of what he's worth will have down the line (ie players fucking off whenever they fancy), I'd be telling them right where to go! Won't help us in our battle to stay in the division but let players and other clubs wanting to fuck us over that we're not just going to bend over and take it. This is assuming his wife really isn't ill which I have to say I have doubts that she is!

Aye Carver was a leftback. In the juniors behind Kenny Wharton. I'm told (second hand from someone at the club apparently) that Carver and Stone are allowed virtually no input into training and Pardew does virtually all of it himself. Also that a lot of time is devoted to pumping long balls at Williamson. And he fails to win most of them!

Personally I think the sooner it's sorted the sooner he'll be gone and there'll be nothing positive about that.
