They are showing more ambition than us at the moment tbf. But they're doing it by buying players who are going there just for the money. Which is also what Chelsea and Citeh did when they first got their cash. It's not like Robhino ever there for any other reason!

I doubt Taylor will be put straight back in. Pardew has praised Williamson on a few occasions. Fuck knows why!

Aye that's been said on more than one occasion It does little to further any plan of progression for a club but if you're in the shit that we're with a lack of players at the moment, we might need to reconsider this policy.

Well Robert Patrick who played the T1000 came in as agent Doggett. He was pretty good and they did a bit of a role reversal where Scully was the one who believed and Doggett the skeptic. The problem was just that they ran out of steam somewhat in terms of one off episodes and the conspiracy arc after they killed off most of the main players in it.

Mulder wasn't in the last couple of series much (although never truly gone especially as Duchovny directed a few episodes). That's when it struggled a bit although the T1000 came in as his replacement and was pretty good.

The last couple of seasons faded badly (although there were still some great eps) but before that it was brilliant. Still can't decide whether I prefered the monster of the week episodes or the ones with the smoking man, Krycek, deep throat, Mr X etc in.

Finishing above them is only ever a real concern if they finish third bottom as it means we can't be relegated or if they finish second as it means we win the league. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to finish above them but I spend less time thinking about it than I do considering whether there is life on another planet somewhere. I wouldn't get more than a momentary feeling of satisfaction that I would forget about in a minute. To them it's a reason to party! They are definitely different to us in how insular they are and how obsessed they are with us but tbh I've found (from working in both Sunderland and Boro and marrying a makem) that smoggies are much more different to us than makems. They are a breed all to themselves. I couldn't work them out at all and every geordie and makem that I worked with said exactly the same.

He could do a job as a squad player, much rather see him coming on than Shola. But I'd be pretty disappointed he was brought in as first eleven player. He really isn't anything special and I still believe we should be setting our sights a lot higher (even with the fat cunt in charge). For three million I'd be happy to see him come in as well as someone better like. As for him signing for the makems, like HF says, it's a chance for him to stay in the premier league and get well paid. I'm sure that will more than make up for him playing for our rivals. I wouldn't fancy doing it myself like but I don't have that decision to make!

Surely this is tapping up and there are rules against it? It seems absolutely ridiculous that officials from a club can just come out say we want to sign a player but we've got no money so we want him to just fuck off from the club that paid x millions to sign him in the first place. We should be able to sue them.

It's not helped by Chelsea dropping points against all the other relegation candidates at the minute! If we don't win on Saturday I think it's going to be very difficult to stay up!

Nothing surprises me these days after all we signed signed the worst player I've ever seen in a Man Utd shirt and we've left ourselves with two senior strikers. One of which has been out of form all season and one who's been out of form his whole career!

It took me a good couple of months to do the whole 9 seasons of the x files but I'm single now so I'm getting through stuff much quicker these days

I'm not suggesting we can't sign players (and good players at that). What I am saying is that if we are one of a number of teams in for them, there are a lot of teams (and I'm not even talking about about the likes of Manure, Citeh, Chelski and Arsenal) who we will lose out to because we simply wont show the ambition and by extension pay the wages that other clubs will pay. If we're up against Wigan, Stoke, Norwich, Villa etc we should still have an advantage but there are a number of teams (like QPR) who can offer what we no longer will.

Well if I stick to the pace I'm currently at I should have finished season 3 by the weekend. Although I've got five or six films I want to get watched too. And I'm getting hopelessly addicted to Pointless at the minute too!

Finished the first series of Breaking Bad this morning. Thought it wasn't going to be my thing at first but I suppose the fact that I got up early this morning to watch the last episode before work suggests that it's gripped me. I should have the second series downloaded for me when I get in tonight.
