  1. Good to hear, is that him stating he expects to be starting often next year? Tbh he is important but if this Cabaye is as good as made out i cant see Nolan starting many games. He can still remain club captain off the field surely?
  2. With fellow Ivorian Tiote and the french posse we do stand a good chance of getting him. Cabaye being old team mate turning down CL football for us could also mean Gervinho doing the same too. Preference for the PL means that its between us, Arsenal and Liverpool if in fact the latter two have lodged bids. Thing is...didnt the Lille manager say no one else would be leaving after Cabaye? Also few sources claiming that we WONT be signing both Gameiro and Gervinho, its one or the other and it seems that Gameiro is our main target.
  3. Quick search and there is NO reputable sources claiming a fee has been agreed at all.
  4. Relegation release clause i think. Id take him. Better than Strola, Best, Ranger and Lovenkrands.

  6. omg. "Trophy signing!" Hardly a trophy signing like. You old cunt. moving the goalposts are we ? Hows that? You old cunt.

  8. How much are his wages do you reckon? Think he'd drop to 50k a week? 3 year deal? Thats almost 8mil in wages and 7.5mil fee...15.5mil....is he worth that? Mind you he would get us 15-20 goals a season and be great to watch in a black n white shirt.
  9. Would love him here! 7.5mil is a good price but wages would be a huge issue. We could get 2 or 3 good years out of him and he could well really be the difference in what pushes us from mid table to euro places.
  10. Maybe they wouldnt but both will be without a club and both are the wrong side of 30. Klose has an offer from Bayern for another year with an automatic extension of another year if he plays a certain amount of games. He hasn't signed yet and is looking for other options as he wants a 2-year deal. I doubt a "pay as you play deal" at Newcastle is exactly what he is after... Probably not and your more informed. I would quite like to see the likes of him or RVN here but at their age i cant see them really starting alot. Does Klose start often?

  12. Absolutely spot on TN, but you shouldnt be saying these sort of things out loud in front of the clique. Its like that film invasion of the body snatchers, as soon as they spot something positive they all freeze and scream. (Probably before your time but the older ones will get the drift). Haha i have seen it actually! How old do you think i am? 16? ish Im quite insulted actually.....im 24!
  13. I wasnt asking you was i you insessant patronising, condescending old cunt. no, you weren't, but I was trying to have an intelligent debate with you, and you ducked out of it, you ignorant know-nowt shite. Where did i?

  15. That's a false equivalence. 95% of people posting, apropos of the past 4 years, are predicting no changes . There's been no activity whatsoever to suggest that the frugal approach taken previously will change at any point. Those people are not saying "I'll be proven right", they're saying "There's no reason to expect anything different". We will sell our best players, we will not improve anyone's contract to keep them. We will not go that extra inch to secure a signing in a vital position. We will make do with Best/Kuqi type makeweights until we can strike gold by chance. The other 5% are predicting much greater things, with no apparent supporting evidence. The burden of proof will be on those misguided few come September. Hang on, that's not right. Most people predicted we'd struggle in the championship and slated posters like accadacca and called him a spacker for predicting we'd waltz it. Then when we were promoted they did the same when people said we would do ok. Last summer was a great window and the christmas window has not panned out how everyone predicted it would. Carroll added fuck all to Liverpool this season and therefore by definition we lost little. That may change next season but it hasn't happened yet so when you talk about the burden of proof it falls just as heavily on the depressive fuckers on here. For the record we've spent £5m and sold no one so far this summer, yes? Glad to see someone talkin sense....not siding with one nor another but a balanced opinion. Put it better than i could of. 18. Still young though and has been decent out on loan albeit in a lesser division. Still worth a contract if only to be worth more in a possible transfer but also time to see if he can cut it.
  19. I am too tbh. At least im positive about the future instead of living in the past. Yawn.
  20. It was one of the worst days of my life when we signed Shearer Dont be a dick HF....im tryin to actually have a decent debate with you and you like many others revert to pathetic sarcasm rather than discussin the opinion. Shearer was a trophy signing and was fantastic.....what about Luque? Boumsong? Smith? Owen? to name but a few. everybody but us has a 100% successful transfer record do they ? Answer my question. When will soopa Mikes superior business expertise match those european qualifications with the quality of players needed to do playing for the club BEt you don't answer ? More flops than success's though LM. When? How can anyone answer that you complete cock! I think with a good summer we COULD get a european place next year and be chasing it every year there after but nobody knows.
  21. Ah, so the sort of signings that qualify for europe more than any other team bar 4 in a 15 year period is crap is it ? When will soopa Mike qualify for europe even once, given his "superior" transfer market prowess and business skills ? And there we go......Your a joke old man. How many "trophy signings" or at least big money signings aided us into europe or were they mostly "bargain basement" signings? Shearer.....who else? Tino? Robert? Three big money signings which came off. And when i have a bet on a bigger net spend than 10mil it does prove me right when in fact it happens. Prick.

Urghhh No wonder you have to be optimistic all the time Haha i blame my typo's and grammatical incompetance on my hangover.
