I should get a fuckin fog horn for the amount of times my one blemish Bainesgate, gets a mention. Five years after the event too.

I remember their first ever league game against Wolves, when that knacker brummie climbed on to the roof, but he was so fat the roof collapsed under him and he fell 40 feet.

Times have changed though, in terms of size of club we were a lot closer to MU and Arsenal than we are now 15 years ago. We can't get higher than 4th, certainly not higher than fourth and sustaining it, unless FFP has a huge impact or we get someone like Abramovic. Whether anyone likes it or not Arsenal and Man Utd are much bigger clubs than we are, they're imo two of the very biggest sporting institutions on earth. Chelsea have a man who can afford to spend another billion, and the Arabs at Man City will do the same. We can have all the ambition in the world but we can't play on their level till we get bought. We can nearly compete with Tottenham and Liverpool long term, he's a cunt so he won't spend any more of his own money, but I don't know how we can do more than we are without artificial investment at this moment in time. So I'd say 4th or 5th at this point is as high as we can go so you have to be happy with it.

Me FM playing days are over, the sad truth is since it became complicated about 8 years ago, I still never won a trophy for the toon. Cherno Samba ended up better than Pele on a few of my games though, shame about the reality..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherno_Samba

fuck it. Worst case scenario keep Ba, and find some 19 year old with unlimited potential.

Blue dippers looking to sign Owen. Match made in heaven that.

Hi, attention seeker here again. Just to let you know, hardly the most ground breaking piece of ITK anyone has ever known, but NUFC are a million miles from confident that a deal will be done.
-
I wouldn't go over 20s, but Carroll is not the only player going for silly money. Jolien Lescott cost £24m, and we're looking like signing the England NUMBER 9 for less than 16m, it's a good price in the market. It was probably given the inflated prices, his market value 18 months ago anyway, we'll just make £20m profit on him.

I should've been a taxi driver because I'm ALWAYS right! ;-) I'm excited about next season though, we've got a player in every position now who you'd be proud of wearing a Newcastle shirt, like genuinely. I honestly believe Santon for example will go on to be one of the best defenders in our history, he's got everything and he's a kid. I think they saw clubs like PSV Eindhoven, Ajax and Valenica and thought how do we make more money than them, yet they get to Champions League Semi Finals. It's rare any of them sign 28 year olds for £18m. It's like a blueprint, and as much as I'll always hate them, it's more than working at the minute the policy.
-
Whether we sign Carroll or not, tell me if you think I'm deluded, but I think that we'll go in to next season with a better first eleven than Liverpool almost regardless what happens.
-
Fair enough. I'm pleased it's not him spelling Newcastle as NewCastle.

Certain people need to publically pipe down. When I don't get information I don't divulge to "attention seek", I don't care enough, I did it because there's a few decent people on here who would be interested. Brilliant step forward for the toon, he's just an overgrown kid, he'll improve and he'll play for England for 10 years.
-
Next time I get any info I'll be sharing it with people in PM.

Love it even though it's PUMA, although all I'd need to do is dye me hair blonde and I'd look like Vicky Pollard in it.

Fulham made £11m not including gate receipts and that is increased for next season. We'll make £1m off gate receipts alone from every home game. I think his wage demands will obviously be the deciding factor and if Liverpool would be prepared to supplement them as many clubs do these days.
-
Just supposing we operated a policy where no one is first choice, it would hardly be a novel approach. With 130k at least coming off the wage budget, transfer profits over the last 2/3 years, additional pending revenue coming in from European football, I don't understand why we aren't in a position to do it.
-
Who says he'll warm the bench though. You wouldn't call Drogba a bench warmer, but he only started 22 games last season, he'd be one of three top strikers.
-
I don't care though, if I cared I'd never post any information I receive, it just gives people with nothing to say the opportunity to say something when they don't happen, so there's another positive.
-
No and not the same source as Pardew you prozac taking meff.
-
I think with top sides today, there is no first eleven, you should have 16-18 players who are rotated depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition. For example, if a team had a centre half like Williamson, Carroll would be the first name on the team sheet for me.

If we do something, and obviously it's still a gargantuan IF, then everyone is a winner. I doubt we'd pay more than £15m, so everyone is looking at thinking good old Mike he knows what he's doing, and he'll be thinking he's the dogs bollocks showing everyone how a "proper businessman" operates, while getting back the local hero with £20m profit to show for it in 18 months. It's pretty obvious that Liverpool want rid of him either short term or long term, Rodgers vibes about "not denying" anything suggests it's fact that they're open to the idea of losing him. Imagine his reaction if they mentioned Suarez or Gerrard leaving permanently or on loan. West Ham just doesn't seem viable, none of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd or City would want him, Tottenham - unlikely, which would leave Sunderland - nee chance, Everton - couldn't afford him and he wouldn't go there anyway, Villa - nar, or us. Forgetting about the information I received, it's far from implausible anyway, Pardew is a confirmed admirer and according to every man and his dog, he'd love to come home.
-
It's obvious what I've been saying. You could get a 10 year old kid with the worst case of autism ever reported and he would know (given this thread was about AC) that I'm saying that I've been told, we're talking to them to see if we can thrash out some sort of deal for him. You were just being awkward. You rightly point out, if it goes no where I can't be accused of being wrong, who gives a fuck about that?!? I got some information I passed it on, and that's it.
-
So what you're saying is if I receive any information, there's no point in divulging it because it can never be proven that it was right or wrong regardless of what the outcome is? .....and they've made you a mod?
