  1. Congratulations hope you're a good Bosman for her.
  2. They had marginally better chances in the first half but the stats were 52/48 in our favour, and we looked more composed on the ball than they did, we did as well. We had a degree of control in the first half, and we don't have a squad worth £500m, with more glory hunters than any other club in the world bankrolling us.
  3. Agreed, the announcer said lets have a minutes silence for Gary Speed and the Welsh start clapping. It cheapens it, a minutes silence is more dignified.
  4. Aye it was better bad enough when SBR died, but I think most of us accepted it because we were ready for it happening. SBR was in his mid 70's and he accepted it, this is worse because he's a young bloke and it's just come from no where. It's easy to praise someone when they've died, but Speed wasn't as technically gifted as Nobby or Dyer, he wasn't as fast as Bellamy or Jenas, he wasn't massive for sticking his nose in front of a camera, but we've never had a player who worked harder for the club than him, to do his best for the team and selflessly allow others to get the glory while he did all of the dirty work. He was proud to play for Newcastle, and I'm proud we had him.
  5. I've heard loads of reports of him completely and utterly shit-faced in The Diamond. One time so much so a family member had to carry him out. He looks Glaswegian at the minute.
  6. He looks like he needs to go quit his job and go into rehab. For the sake of his health, I haven't seen anyone with a redder face than that since Sid The Sexist fell asleep in the sun in Magaluf. He looks seriously ill.
  7. "The first season was great and had some great moments - scoring in the cup final and the goal against Manchester City, the hat-trick in Wolfsburg," Owen added. "Last year wasn’t quite so good, but the manager has spoken to me and said I’ll be firmly in his plans this season. "He expects me to play a lot more." He lied.
  8. Charlton v Huddersfield tonight, that would be 43 unbeaten and it's the hardest test of the lot. Hope he keeps going only 6 more games and he's broken the record in the history of English football.
  9. It's disrespectful to speculate the reasons full stop and people have done nothing but since the start of the thread, on about sexual orientation and media stings. Disgusting to be honest, and J69 is clearly the worst in this instance. Seriously man Stevie, not the time for cheap shots. Behave For once I agree. The pair of you need to let this one go. One of the fellas at work, a Liverpool fan said to me this morning that the last time football lost someone with such universal respect was Sir Bobby. I couldn't agree more. I'm still in shock to be honest. You could name 1,000 people in football and I honestly believe many would choose him to be more emotionally stable than anyone. He wasn't radge, he wasn't a hell raiser, he was a good family man, and the hardest working model pro you could ever imagine. He was like Alan Shearer but a midfielder and more likeable. It's completely stunned the nation.
  10. Leeds fans are planning to sing there's only one Gary Speed for the first 11 minutes of their next home game, we should do something similar.
  11. It's disrespectful to speculate the reasons full stop and people have done nothing but since the start of the thread, on about sexual orientation and media stings. Disgusting to be honest, and J69 is clearly the worst in this instance.
  12. Total speculation though. We don't know that he suffered from depression. We don't know if the rumours about his sexual orientation were true. Just because one is less shocking than the other doesn't make it any more or less true. You don't kill yourself if you're not suffering from sort of mental anguish. Perhaps this has been circumstantial if that's what it is, but why would you kill yourself if you weren't depressed?
  13. Depression Could Have Played A Part In Gary Speed’s DeathThe Newcastle United Blog 09:25 The NUFC blog right on the button again.
  14. you are one wierd puppy how the fuck does Steve Bruce get into your dreams? Fuck do I know, Fiona Bruce would've been more welcome a naa.
  15. Called Riverside nuw. Last neet MF. The water came up to the bottom of the Cooperage apparently.
  16. Had a mad dream last night straight up, I was sat in the Chronicle offices sat next to Lee Ryder pointing out mistakes he'd made in his articles, and Steve Bruce came in "Steve I know you have contacts, am I getting sacked then?" , "nah Steve you'll be alright", and that was it, that was my dream. I woke up before two texts saying the same thing, "he's getting sacked today and the only reason he didn't yesterday was out of respect for Gary Speed."
  17. I think if that's why he's killed himself, it just emphasises how much homophobia exists in football. We had a gay kid in one of my Sunday League teams, and certain ones wouldn't shower when he was there. The wider football world is probably even worse, look at Justin Fashanu he got grief every single game, even off his own fans.
  18. It shouldn't need saying why you don't use the word selfish on the day of someones death, staggered that people are condoning it to be honest. As said earlier Barton is scum always will be, complete and utter attention seeking, the cunt sickens me.
  19. What a total wanker, how do you change your name on here? The mods can do it. I'm stunned anyone would be so thick to use that word on a day like today. Absolute attention seeking arsehole, always hated him me, he's a prick.
  20. It's put me on a bit of a downer today, such a class bloke, dead down to earth, Howard Wilkinson was saying he had more ability than most footballers, and more humility than any of them. Contrast him with Joey Barton, an utter self-absorbed pseudo-intellectual prick, who has just chosen to call Speed selfish on twitter on a day like today.

  22. Liverpool v The Toon called off for Princess fuckin Di, and this goes ahead with all the Welsh players in both these teams. It's not right.
  23. Swansea v Villa surely must be off now, Welsh players on both sides.
  24. Utterly shocking news he always looked a picture of health. He was a very important player for Newcastle undervalued and underrated. Really gutted about this. RIP
