  1. Aye that's fair enough Ewerk, I'd guess 90% of people on here don't like him, and maybe 25% of people fail to realise how lucky he's been to have the club in the position we are now.
  2. It's in the Star apparently too, just as well they didn't publish the one of me calling him a scouse cunt.
  3. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2067440/Gary-Speed-dead-Joey-Barton-refuses-apologise-insensitive-Twitter-comments.html My patter about Barton has been published by the Daily Mail today. I still feel the same, disgraceful comment.
  4. I donno if its the start we've had or what but I'm more acclimatised to my new seat in the Leazes now. I even kissed and made up with the old cunt behind with the mackem accent the next match after the Arsenal game, there's still things to moan about but on the pitch I've got only happy memories of the seat to date. The first few games were always going to fractious, but if they re-open Level 7 for us again I'd still go back.
  5. I feel sadder tonight about it than I did last night :( It's the most mental suicide I've ever heard of. That scouse bird Danielle Lloyd she's been with loads of footballers, and she said they're not like normal human beings they think of themselves as god. Gary Speed wasn't like that, but....when you look at Gazza, and other players too, the first 3 or 4 years when you finish playing are hard to deal with as playing the game and making people happy are all you've known. Gary only played in his last game 2 years ago, and maybe it was part of accepting it was over for him in that sense. I don't know. It's just hard to not think about why someone who you've respected and liked from a distance has done this.
  6. pmsl at that page on the Sunderland Echoah site
  7. Shame tbh, he's a canny lad imo and a decent poster. I can't be held responsible for people flouncing off, especially when his last post was about many of the stereotypes of geordies.
  8. Billy Castell hasn't been back since his emotional rant at me about Kean in October. Nowt in the chronicle about the river bursting its banks still like.
  9. Freddie the Dolphin farted and caused a Tsunami? Paul Wyn fell off the Shields Ferry? (Why the Steve Kean ava Stevie?) Because everyone hates him, abuses him, and makes fun of him, I think he's an honourable bloke who was given an opportunity to better himself and has been unlucky. I remain convinced he'll keep Blackburn up.

  11. Cheers Mr Bass. Anyone volunteering for next week? What is clear is I am the Derby 07/08 of this competition.
  12. Aye. If you know your history, you will know since football became the world game, the biggest cheating cunts were always Uruguay. They were accepted as having the dirtiest teams in the history of the sport, and diving is an extension of their cheating. Uruguay v Scotland was one of the most scandalous games of the modern era.
  13. The Sun gave us an excellent write up. Only article on the game where they didn't include 'United' when referring to ManUre. Neil Custis is a toon fan that's why.
  14. Don't think it's appropriate to post this in the RIP Gary Speed thread but....I hope we wouldn't be as thick, as cuntish or as downright bigoted as them if the shoe was on the other foot. Today, 10:43 AM #14 Bear Striker Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Here...there...every fucking where Re: Whilst the Speed incident is desprately sad Love the way these fuckwits go on Newcastle was a club he played for did a job for Speed himself was an Evertonian for who he played for and captained wonder if the Everton fans are been this pathetic Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=648062&page=2#ixzz1f0Qjqfaw
  15. Exactly, see below. I must've sensed what was to come, but fuck them, they even themselves out....only they don't we're probably still owed a few more off the cunts. I'd honestly forgotten that he ever existed till you mentioned him there. All I remember of him is him playing in a European game (I think). Scored with his cock against Everton in the FACQF 4-1 win that's my only memory of him. Had a canny tan when he arrived but looked practically grey by that match. We've had a few draws down there down the years as it happens, even when we've been shite. Was it under Souness or Roeder when we drew 0-0 and Jenas hit the bar? Robson. Woodgate played his best game for the toon that night, and we should've had a penalty as well Barthez just kicked Shearer over and the ref gave him fuck all.
  16. It's mental. It will still feel mental in a years time unless we know the full facts. Everyone loved him, like everyone. He was probably the best looking bloke to ever play for Newcastle.
  17. It's as high a chance as 50/50 I'm afraid, and this time Pardew's language is a lot different to what it was in December about Carroll. At least he's being honest, Pardew must be privately pissed off in some regards.
  18. I'll be honest, his passing used to piss me off at times, but he was such a huge, huge presence, and that was my only gripe with him, because he was such a lovely bloke, hard working, and he was as good as a header I've ever seen for a midfielder. When he was sold, I wasn't too concerned as I thought we'd replace him adequately, we didn't and the hole he created was as big as the one Shearer did. It was his presence, and his impact on the whole club. During games, he was everywhere, he never ever ever hid. My favourite game and goal for Speed was against Liverpool at Anfield we were 2-0 down with 5 minutes left, and he was getting the right run around off Hamann and Gerrard, but he never gave in, kept going driving us forward, he never gave up. The ball came in from a corner, fuckin bammmmm 2-1 we were back in it. A few minutes later he won the ball drove us forward again, we got abother corner and Shearer got the equaliser. It epitomised Speed, he was never beaten, he was determined, he was the ultimate professional, people who got more plaudits like Bryan Robson, and Tony Adams, were in no way more professional than Speed, no one was.
  19. No one expected Chelsea and Arsenal to be this shit, Chelsea look a spent force like genuinely. Anyone can beat Wolves 3-0, while look at Arsenal like this. They've hammered no one, and I can't think of a team in Europe who would miss a player more than they'd miss van Persie. Look at him like this, he's never went a whole season in his career where he hasn't had at least 6 weeks injured, so it would be a surprise if he lasts looking at it like that, and if he does get injured hand on heart we have a realistic chance, like not bigging us up of finishing ahead of Arsenal. Liverpool well the jury are still out about them, Tottenham nailed for third, but we're still in there, like an unwelcome guest. If we did the unimaginable and came fourth, it would feel like Rocky 4, but it would do wonders for the club in terms of rebuilding the stature internationally, as our last Champions League campaigns did.
  20. One of the things I'm taking from the last few games is the fact our best player, and without doubt in my view, best players in the Premiership hasn't been there in Tiote. I honestly believe aspects of Tiote's game are as good as Essien, and I can't give him higher praise than that. He's been missing and we've coped very well. Make no mistake about it, in the whole world there's not more than 5 sides better than Man Utd and Man City, and we've competed. If we can just beat Chelsea it could open so many doors for us.
  21. Outside of top one we've lost nen. Anyone can twist stats. You're too methodical for a young lad you like.
