I have two mates I have known since junior school, one I see often but the other has a "jealous" husband who thinks I am a bad influence on her so don't see her quite as much. I have 6 mates who I have worked with for ten or more years and we are quite close ( just arranged a ladies night in the big Metropolis that is South Shields for this friday ) I have quite a lot of lad mates who I socialise with more often than the girls , have known them from anything from 10 to 3 years, and their girlfriends/wives are used to me now but when they were "new" they were a bit hung up on the fact that their lads could be good mates and just socialise with another lass
