It's those mid-table championship players worth 10s of millions that always get me.

 Aye it’s class, they just throw out that some rank average championship player is at the same level as a CL level player that’s being mentioned for England caps and expect it’s not ridiculed.

  2. It’s a random weekend, they’ve not managed to get into the same league as us for going on a decade now (with zero hope of it happening imo) yet why not have a thread about derby games, complete with caveat of why it won’t matter when we eventually give them an almighty kicking.

  3. The best thing about Joelinton is he’s actually improving still. I thought he was sensational yesterday, his positioning keeps improving which is vital in CM and his growing confidence means he’s so assured on the ball. He also showed his versatility which allowed us to completely shift the team around when Willock etc come on. What a bloke.

Aye, absolutely love Gordon. Really intelligent player with a lot of skill, energy and passion.

Post game interview when he was talking about how he used to obsess about goals and assists and now just focuses on being trustworthy for the manager. Love it. Great attitude.

Agreed, he can really grab the game by the neck at times which is a great aspect to his game. Even games where he’s not really heavily involved he stays as a constant threat due to his pace and eye for goal. 4 goals, 2 assists already this season so on track for double figure goals which would be impressive.

The ref saw it, gave a yellow and VAR didn’t think it warranted reviewing by the ref so that’ll be the end of it

They didn’t even mention it here while Robbie Mustoe cried like Arteta over Bruno staying on the pitch and saying Joelinton clearly fouled Gabriel (soft as fuck imo, Gabriel consistently throws himself down, he had no chance on the ball and dived for me).

Apparently because Cuntwertz leading leg wasn't the one that cleared out Longy, that's only a yellow

It’s what pundits fall back on but in the rules it’s a red, I’ve always found it a joke when pundits come out with that as it implies the only way it’s a red is if Longstaffs leg is broken. If Havertz had connected like he intended Longstaffs leg would have broke, his studs were planted and havertz would have made contact mid shin.

Havertz is one of those players where I hope he’s one day on the receiving end of the type of tackles he throws in. The blokes an absolute cunt who intentionally goes in to hurt players. It was a clear red card, imo the ref knew he fucked it up which is why he started booking all our lot to quickly get it all over with rather than look indecisive.

I'm sick of these oily b@stards. Ruining the game. I might have to get back into tennis”

    hahhahahahaha

 Ruining the game by beating them, they didn’t lay a fucking glove on us all game. They can ram possession stats up their arse, they didn’t threaten.

Their club, and others, have fought for years to rig the whole system in their favor so they cannot handle not just steam rolling sides. FFP and the CL money distribution are clear anti-competitive measures to keep the same sides at the top, so they’re all starting to panic now we’re not going away.

Am I being stupid here, or is Gordon quite clearly behind the ball so the number of opposition players between the player/goal is irrelevant?

Aye I kept saying the exact same thing, I don’t understand why they were even looking at it:

    Offside position

It is not an offence to be in an offside position.

A player is in an offside position if:

any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and

any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
