It's bad enough when the top teams treat cups as second rate competitions, it's horrendous when it's done by teams like us imho. As pointed out the cup could have served a few good purposes for us. I agree, but then most people get one that's too short these days. If guilty, no matter who he is, fucker should go down a long time. I'd also be asking to relook at the previous case. Mind you, these days rape is such a difficult case. Too easy for a lass to yell rape with afterthought and much too easy for the bloke to say she was all over him even when it was rape. I feel sorry for the lasses who genuinely have been raped and are tarnished with the cry wolf brush. especially when she knows rags like the Star and the NotW will pay her a 5 figure sum for her story, and like you say these cases make it all the harder for the genuine cases to be heard by an objective ear. Not flu like but I'm fucked today. Some stomach bug going around, kids and wife, friends all had it and I thought I'd escaped. Last night it knocked me off my feet.
