Now when you think non-white people make up 15% of the population max? If you work that out the actual ratio is staggering. 92% committed by 15% of the population. To be honest it's not ethnicity that fosters a criminal mindset it's your socio-economic grounding. You'll find that white scumbags are just as likely to commit crime as black scumbags. Trouble is, there are more black people who exist in areas with little in terms of positive reinforcement than there are white (proportionately). You'd find that if the people committing crimes are the same they've always been. Disillusioned, ill-educated, kids from low income households. The pro-footballers who do commit these crimes do it because they're under the impression that they're untouchable, that the world owes them something because of their talent. Ethnicity has little to do with it and fwiw I don't think it makes you a racist to ask for the stat, I just don't think it's relevant in this instance. I think many accept that his primary aim was likely to get into the premiership to showcase himself. Its critical we stay up this season as teams that get promoted next season are likely to be of lesser quality than this season. Assuming he helps us have a decent season we can then move on. Plus I'd like to think we'd pay the (6M was it?) and if others wanted him we'd get profit on our layout. Maybe being harsh on him but you couldn't fault him for wanting to be with a top 6 side.

Why did those players want out and why weren't they replaced once they left? One is whingey little french prick, Shay has been releasing whinges in the press about needing to sign players to challenge for a few seasons, he'd obviously got wind of City's interest imo. Insomnia was already replaced in Jonas. Milner arguably wasn't replaced properly, though the club did sign both Guthrie and Nolan, so in terms of numbers it could have been thought that we were ok in midfield. Tbf I dont think we were relegated because of players we bought or sold. I think it was general mismanagement due to multiple managers. Agreed, save (arguably) for the exit of Given. Aye fair point on that one. I also think we sold him too easily and could have got much more out of City for him.

I think with or without the mortgage debt, the figures seem to take a huge leap forward. I assume this is partly because of our increase in wages under Shepherd while having a decrease in revenue due to the clubs position (TV money, Champions League or lack of), this was compounded then with Ashley needing money for Fat Sam & KK, then further lost revenue and finally relegation. Basically what was becoming a difficult scenario was then made a lot worse by MA. I dont think you can point the finger and says its one persons fault.

Difference is the long and short terms loans. The figures had been reporting short term loans (imo). Ashley buying the club triggered the need for the long term loan to be brought in with the short. Its likely he didnt realise that when he bought the club. The debt was always there, it was also being managed by Halls/Shepherd as a long term loan. Not Ashleys fault, but he should have known about that before. Accountants man, no better breed to make figures say what the fuck they want.
