Safety net yes I agree. Ive no issue with genuine people, looking for work, supporting their family. What I do take issue with is those spending money at the bookies or in the club/pub while claiming for a dodgy knee that healed 5 year ago.

I think the Afghanistan war predated Iraq didn't it? Yeah by two years when I think about it. Not sure why I keep thinking we invaded after Iraq following 9/11. Either way, invading Iraq was a farce built on lies. Even Afghanistan, why did we think we or the US could succeed where others failed? Of course the US couldn't sit back and do nothing after 9/11 but was the UK not almost bullied into it? I seem to recall Bush saying something like "those that are not with us are against us"? I don't know what the right approach was or is, but don't think we should be there now.

Who put the ball in for the equaliser last game ? I'd give raylor a shot at RB as I think set pieces are one of a few chances we have given our striker quality. I think routledge has ability to beat a man and get in good positions if only he could put a good ball in. If we play shola or Carroll we need players who can put a ball in.

Why the fuck would we sack CH so soon? Anyone who thinks we should need a reality check imo. Also must have very short memories if can't recall the turmoil caused by the clubs manager merry go round last time. Sure things don't look good, but did we expect much else? This is what we are these days, really need to get used to it as it ain't changing for a long time. Depressing I know.

Last statement is right imo. I don't think we ever should have got dragged into Iraq. Had we not, it's also unlikely we'd have went to Afghanistan, though not impossible. I'd like to see us pull out sooner rather than later.

Fucking hell man this thread I cant decide if this is millhouse from the simpsons or the twat kid from wargames

Indeed a big problem. Nothing wrong with cutting social housing. The problem, once again is that it's abused by the masses. I remember even 20 years ago when I got my first flat. I was told it went on a points system. If I got a letter from a parent saying I was being thrown out and would be homeless I would be boosted to the top of the list. Simple as that. How does the council pick those in genuine need over those on the fiddle? As for the navy cuts. Do we really need one or two new carriers? Really need? As for the whole argument, I don't see why some people assume that if you vote for one party you believe in all of their policies? When I voted I considered a number of parties based on their stance on some key things. I didn't support one party 100% but in the end I voted conservative. Equally I don't vote based on who I voted for last time or what my family vote for historically (which I find astounding) or based on what a government done 20 years ago (equally astounding). I'm interested in today, tomorrow, next year. Not what happened decades ago. In the past Ive voted labour & lib dem. It just happened that this time around conservative most represented my views.

From my point of view I can understand their stance. The above is a huge organisation employing thousands. Each of those pay tax. They have a responsibility to their shareholders to perform to a certain level. Similarly if high earners were taxed fairly they wouldn't feel the need to move abroad to protect the income they have worked for. What I dislike more are companies shifting their workforce abroad for lower labour costs. I know it's to maximise profits but that directly hits UK employment unlike what wolsley are doing. On the OP, most companies structure their accounts to minimise corporation tax. I even do it and I'm just a small business. It's not illegal but as as a small company I need to remain as profitable as I can by retaining as much GP as I can. Especially in such difficult times. We might right down stock value that isn't shifting etc. Course I don't endorse large scale illegal tax evasion and when we are talking about billions of profit I have little sympathy with the companies but then I would look at other aspects first. How much do they give back to local communities and charities for example? As for benefit fraud, while the numbers are not as large it's likely easier and cheaper to clamp down on and I'm fully behind it. Boils my piss at times what people get away with. Better off on the dole? No wonder when you are ripping the system so much. Why should we work so damn hard Personally and as a business and get taxed so much only to feed these lazy fuckers?

Don't be ridiculous man that would involve foresight! Whey come on. Any club with half an ounce of common sense and football brain would get that in their contract given the lads previous. Oh......
-
Much has also been said about the importance of staying up this season as it almost guarantees a further two years due to the poor teams likely to come up. That said, who knows what investment would be put into the likes of QPR. When struggling at the new year there are two options. Try to buy your way out of trouble, something I expect we will see Liverpool do. Or consolodate and prepare your finances for relegation. Something I'd expect us to do.

He wont spend. Unless we moved some on. Prob expect to go with shola & lovenkrands.

Kindle: Amazon's Well-Established Wireless Reading Device
JawD replied to khay's topic in General Chat
The guy who sits next to me in the office bought one recently and up until that point I wasn't interested. Having seen on e in the flesh though; the screen is astonishing. My first thought was it was a sticker too. Like you, I really fancy an iPad too and I read books. Mrs Paws is always on at me because I buy a book, read it once and it ends up in a cupboard. I've tried e-books on my laptop & phone, but they just aren;t the same. I'm kinda tempted by the Kindle, but I know that deep down I want an iPad. I reckon Matt would like it too. He loves my iPhone and at only 2 (nearly 3) he's taken to using it really well. Question (not specifically aim at you Gem), can I email a .mobi file to myself, open it on my iPad from the email and read it in the Kindle/iBook app? Im not sure. Ive only read things I've bought from Amazon or book store on my iPad. Is a fantastic reading experience though. Im on holiday this week and am taking 3 books all the shape of my iPad. Whether you use iPad or Kindle, I'd certainly recommend getting one. -
I preferred the roof sign when is just read "Dire"

I emailed them some questions. this was the basis of their response: The bit in bold I pointed out to them is the reason why they should be reaching out to fans. My stance is now in the not rejoining camp. While I dnt dismiss some of their actions as good, they dont seem to be representing fans imo. Basically not what I'm looking for at this moment and the main reason for me was their seeming steaming ahead with things off their own back without consulting fans. They wont come on football forums as you have seen (in fact largely dismissed them outright) and dont even email to ask an opinion on a subject yet were quick to email me to ask why I didnt renew.

Fucking hell, thats more shite than I'd even imagined.

Well, in a way yes I'd agree. I don't do a massive amount in Photoshop. I prefer using filters as I take the shot. Depends on the effect I'm after. But its also personal preference. Take your shots above, the first one has had the colours boosted a fair bit so they look unnatural. However, its a style of image. I wouldnt say it was wrong, just a style. The second one down you have increased brightness so much you can't see any water and was it not for the land you wouldnt tell between that and the sea. But again, its a style. If you go to these modern portrait shops now they do alot of that, boosting contrast etc in photoshop. I can give examples of where I've done the same This is one I took of my bairn and boosted the contrast and brightness in photoshop. But I liked the effect. I'm still learning myself though and that lass if she is turning professional probably knows a hell of a lot more than me I'd imagine! Here is my Flickr stream, feel free to have a browse

Sorry missed them being posted. Really like the top ones. bottom two I think the lass kinda gets lost in the image. Second one down is my fave. bottom one I'd liked to have seen her standing further in front of the background and then with a shallow DOF and then in colour. Just imo of course

Should have gone for knocking back Boots like. Fuck me, on a plate that was. Still, much easier on the eye so its not all bad.

What a wanker Whilst we're at it, make sure you sign the following email addresses up for the same degree of grot: tanned_david@yahoo.com dayo25@msn.com dayo_edo@hotmail.co.uk Think that covers all his alter-egos. Absolutely sick to death of this retard and his persistent drivvel. Fuck me "Tanned David"?

Newcastle isn't particular near the Scottish border though. Ah well, altzheimers comes to many of us early 200 miles or more? I'm just pointing out it's a myth that Newcastle is close to the Scottish border. It isn't. I think the closest route (by road) is via Carter Bar, which is about 50 miles. If you go north, via Berwick, I think it's over 70 miles. Liverpool's much closer to Wales, for example, and I think Birmingham's closer to Wales too. Don't know what the 200 miles reference is all about. Unless you're suggesting London's near Leeds. Hope he doesnt think Newcastle is 200 mile from Scotland. 200 mile would have you near Stonehaven up near Aberdeen. Oh and Liverpool is closer (and similar ) to Rhyl than Newcastle is to Scotland.

Well, spoke to you a few times / followed this developing on Twitter. Been a laugh along the way as well as voyeuristic at times I'm sure you both will have a blast and I hope it settles down into what you hope for. More so, I hope they have good coffee where you'll be

It wasn't, but good spot. I do title my images and sometimes put descriptions with them. I think a word/title or description can help fill out what an image represents.
