I think they are all related to each other in Warrington tbf (I often work down there, just off the A49 near the Tesco/Stadium)

Is that what you're calling it these day?

Any player who manages to shine in a relegated side is sure to be snapped up. I think Bassong and Beye come into that catagory.

But we never claimed that we have the best fans in the country and it is such a special place to watch football...etc etc Whole town blah blah. Oh yeah thats right, while we all say we are the best fans, will win the league next year, are the biggest club yadda yadda [/skysportsfanboi]

Still wanting to know what happened in 86 Danny. Your lot have a Bouycooot? Or maybe couldnt be arsed? Or maybe went to watch Arsenal for a year?

16K, how can you use under 30 as a stick? 16K is terrible. There was a mass boycott i believe (i was only 9 at the time) and there was severe economic difficulties in the north east at that time, unemployment at its highest levels ever (?). Possibly worse post-85. What was yours that season? Wasn't it the season that the Leazes roof was taken off and the capacity of that end reduced by two thirds? That was probably it, i just remember there being some reason beyond the shite football. What about 91 when your ave attendance was 17K did the building work go on that long? Yet a year later when we were nearly relegated from the old 2nd division, our attendance was much higher. Odd eh.

Possibly worse post-85. What was yours that season? Circa 30K, we have never dropped below 20K in our history. Yet in 1986 you had 20K for top flight football in a poorer season then by your own standards. As Spuds finished higher up the table either side of that season your attendance was up. The same year (86) we finished 1 place below you (11th) and had 23K. You know what all this means? Fuck all!

Thing is, its not as simple (unless you are Danny) as looking at a number and taking it on face value for any club. You have to consider what effected the numbers to why there was an increase or decrease. Its easy to point at say our season of getting 16K for lower division football, while ignoring the fact that either side of that year, in the same division, we got 21K. Ignorance is bliss eh Danny.

Absolutely staggers me. For all they have won and they are STILL bitter about Shearer. Talk about massive chips.

We get the train to Carlisle, then taxi to Bowness to start. First night in Crosby on Eden (20 mile), then Haltwhistle (19 mile), Chollerford (15 mile) & Heddon on the Wall (15) then to Wallsend (15). There are four of us now, was a bastard getting the rooms sorted like.

Villa all the way for me. We've failed to do it when it mattered at home (Pompy & Fulham) so I dont know why Villa would be any different.

Well, I'm all set. The digs are booked along the way, I had my last training walk at the weekend (12 mile around a wet and very windy kielder) and I have all my gear sorted. Im still training for the north run as I go, though Im not as confident about that as I am the walk. Currently running around 4.5mile. Also hit my sponsorship target which I was well chuffed about to thanks all for helping with that.
